FX owner for 1 week now

yep, its been driven, 12,000 miles worth, The salesman said the reason for the miles was the general manager liked to drive the car, what ever... But what closed the deal for me was, because the car was never sold, It came with the full 4 year warranty from the day I drove it off the lot. I can live with that. BIGTURK, the green car is my shop truck. Its not an FX, but If your interested, you can check it out in this link

Thanks, I appreciate that, should I really question the possibility of a "Infiniti" dealership peddling flood damaged Infiniti's with new clear titles?? Lets hope not!

After driving the car with H&R springs, I am happy with the stance, but I think I like the feel of the factory "sport tuned suspension" better. (but my wife likes the smooth ride) Wish I would have installed the Eibachs. My fault tho, all the posts on this site clearly stated the H&R springs would give a smoother ride.

What ball bearing is that yourtalking about.. I'm kind of confused.. Also great ride man.. Keep it up..

I am hoping another fellow on this site thats more knowlagable on the FX than I, can provide a picture of this bearing assy. Its part of the strut / spring assy. close to the top & comes apart easily if you not paying attention... must have at least 60 .156" diam. balls in it... by the way, I found a place that carrys the little balls, if any body else gets in a jam like I did.

ha, as soon as I seen you refer to them as .156" diam., I knew you had to replace some

am I reading you wrong or are you saying that you think the H&R's are an even softer ride than it was stock?

I think without the stock bouncy feel, anything is softer. I feel like the Eibachs are actually softer & smoother, just less play

Seriously, you have a lift?!? Tell me you also have a decent sized compressor. Where'd you pick up the lift and for how much?

I keep the 80 gal. compressor in the attached garage so I don't have to here it running in the shop. (who cares what it sounds like in the house) The lift was about $2500 7 years ago from a local manufacture "Autolifter". they went out of business, but you can pick a similar one for a bout $1900 now days.

Thanks GTO for the schematic, the bearing assy. is item #5, gotta treat that bearing with respect

Turbocad6, I think the H&R's provide a smoother ride than the stock "sport tuned package" which I think I like better (just sat too high) but I'm not qualified to state which suspension provides better handling

I'm going to have to look part #5 up.. What would be the problems associated with these if you have them wrong..?

The item number 5 is the strut bearing. I just had my replaced when changed to H&R. My old one was spitting out little bearing balls.

From the general reviews, I think the Eibachs have the edge when they're not snapping

Knocking sound when you turn the wheels at slow speeds

Sh*t ! Well thank for telling me this bro.. I guess I
need to do that..

Didn't someone said they know where to find it?
