FX mania - What made you purchase your FX?

I had a QX4 and when the FX first came out it was love at first site.

FOr me it was a few things, #1 the sound of the engine, you know it's an FX when you hear one, second the body style, so far none of the CUVs out there come close to FX, third the color and the interior ....

I didn't even know there was a V8 option! I felt bad calling myself Beast

I have always admired the FX's design and growl... Never thought i'd buy one until my MX6 died. My first look at a Pre-owned, and I was basically attacked by the Infiniti salesman... drove it home an hour later. That bastard had me throw down half my AAPL shares! :mad.: ...but I was already in love after the test drive :tonguey:

My friends parents had one. We took it out one night and drove the crap out of it. It was solid and handled. I was just looking for a car at the time. So I was sold!

i initially wanted to get a g35, and never looked into the fx much until my parents recommended i get something bigger. but i alwaysed loved the sound of the fx, so thats 1/2 the reason i got one n the other 1/2 is the looks! none other out there can compare! so when i went to the dealer and saw the black on brick/black interior, i was sold!

i really wanted a cadillac cts but for the money the interior looked cheap. so when the fx 35 changed it's body style had to ck it out. the interior is way better in fx then cts

Impromptu trip to check out infiniti at 1 hour before closing on a wednesday night. Originally had our eyes firmly set on another car but after walking into the dealership we walked out with a sapphire FX.

The beast

I love the way it sounds when you turn the key. And no Other crossover was like it. I WAS HOOKED THE BEAST HAD ME:tonguey:

Parents friend owns a 03 white fx35. Asked them to take it out was sold on it since. Also love the sound of them and the fact that its like a big car that looks totally different from other vehicles.

Same=) 98 QX4 then 01 QX4 and now 03 FX45

Base on the pattern of your QX4 change out, you're way over due on another FX45 buddy!
As how I got myself into an FX? A family friend was getting rid of it. Timing and price was just right, so I took the plunge.
I love the FX when it came out, but just too much $ for me! What really surprise me was the mods available for the FX

Been eyeing the QX56 for some time (first generation). When the time and price is right, I will pounce on it. AP Racing BBK, Stillen Supercharger, oh the possibilities...

Then the FX45 will be the winter "beater" car=)

I was in the market for a new ride after the horrible year I had with my partner stealing all of my money.

I just finished buying my Dad a home and a car and was really down on trying to restructure my business and make a living.

I was driving in Brentwood and came across the FX parked at Starbucks..... I could not believe the lines that it had and in that moment I was in love...

I did my research and found out that they made a V8. I looked High and Low and found the one I wanted. I told my Dad about it at the time and told him that I was exited to take delivery of the FX by the end of the week.....

To my surprise...... He told me to pick him up at the dealership because he needed a ride because his Altima needed service... I asked him where; he said he was at Glendale Infiniti. I asked him why there and not across the street at Nissan. He tells me that they were overwhelmed and told him to go there.

I showed up and I offered to show him the FX so he know what I was planing to get.... My sales guy tells me that my FX was sold early that morning... WTF?!?!?!??!.. I was mad as hell. I told him that it would take forever to find another one with all the options I wanted...

To my surprise my dad gave me the keys and told me.... "I got it for you. Just wanted to help you out.".... My knees became weak and I had to grab a chair.....

Damn. That is so cool. I bet that was an awesome experience.

I had an '03 Chevy Tahoe that I really liked but it had 145K miles and was having some annoying issues that I was wasting money on but not solving. I wanted something that I could still haul the family in but also be sporty and more fun to drive than the Tahoe.

I had always dismissed the FX as I mistakenly believed it was just a rebadged Murano. I test drove a used Murano and didn't like it. I was reading about Acura MDX's (was considering one) one day and found a forum thread where it was being compared to the FX. That's when I found out that they were very different from the Murano and based on a RWD platform.

At this point I was very intrigued by FX's and found a used one for sale at the local Acura dealer so I went and checked it out. I was pretty much sold on it just from the intial walk around and sitting in it but the test drive sealed the deal. I traded in my Tahoe for it that weekend. :)
