FX mania - What made you purchase your FX?

Really wanted a Land Rover or BMW X5...or so I thought. I looked at the Rover..too much money...looked at the X5...too plain interior. Saw the fx35 and was instantly in love. Drove awesome, turning radius was great, sounded awesome and had the feel of a sports car but with the looks of something else...nothing else like it on the road!

My wife and I were going to buy a Avalon, but cancer took her away before we bought it. I was stuck in traffic one day and a car drove up next to me. I did not know what it was so I let it get in front of me. I was impressed I researched it for about a month and took a test drive. The first thing I did was mash the peddle to the floor. I was once again impressed. My wife would of been very happy for me. The only thing I dont like about it. It's a CHP magnet

I'm so sorry to hear about your wife. May she rest in piece and I hope the best for you. Yes I'm sure she is smiling from heaven watching you have fun in the FX! :)

started with an Infiniti 2004 G35... upgraded to 2008 G37S and then moved up to 2010 FX50S - life's too short not to enjoy the ride:biggrin:

I've loved it since 01 when the import co. I worked for shipped it to Chicago for the Auto Show...It sat in our warehouse in secrecy for 2 weeks. I was mighty impressed, and still am to this day.

Needed power, and something to drive year round. I had Bought a 2004 fx35 a few years prior (pearl white) for the GF. When she lost her job we couldn't afford it. I really liked the way the 35 handled and missed how sexy it was. Always said I would get another one. I did, bought my 2003 low mileage VK and have no regrets.

My condolences. May she rest in peace. I'm sure she is happy for you.

Regarding why we got it, was strictly because of a growing family. My daily driver was a BMW 540i, and we simply didn't fit in it anymore. 2 Boys growing made for a tight fit. I was set on a 4.8 X5 but I just couldn't find one with all the options I wanted. The FX wasn't really on the list, but after seeing one on the lot, both my wife and I liked it immediately. Price, Mileage, ammenitites, and color combo made it a done deal for us.

Because it's bad ass! Coolest sport truck around that everyone else is copying!

So true! I had an '03 FX35, then drove a turbo Beetle for a couple years, and after test driving the Cayenne, ML, GLK, Range Rover Sport, and the FX (even though I already knew the FX like the back of my hand), I went with the FX again :D It is much more sporty and felt lower to the ground and more sturdy than the rest.
