Fujita CAI

i contacted fujita and sent them pics of the hose vs the stock one. the stock is slightly bigger in inner diameter. ill update when they respond.

I don't understand how one starts a F/S thread and not respond to people with interest

o sry i come and go...

if u heat the silicon tubing it warps... ALOT... i used a lighter to try and heat it a little and messed it up and had to ask mike @ fujita to get me another one...

The tool is a small bracket to u align the intake manifold to the intake tube... pm me if u still need help and we can meet up or do it at my house... ^_^

the silicon is soft right? u got the soft right right?

and the sale part i already sold em all... im keeping the intake and stb for aesthetics and ill take off my 5/16 later on...

sorry been busyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

the silicon hose is kinda soft, but barely stretches. i think it is just too tight no matter what lube will be used. fujita is sending another hose to try, i asked for one slightly larger in inner diameter.

allen or any other fujita owners, do you notice a significant difference in exhaust sound? i guess i hear it on higher rpms.

fujita sent me a thinner but slightly wider hose and it finally fit! few things:

not sure if i saw it right, but should the plate (butterfly?) inside the throttle body sit exactly vertically? i thought it was slightly at an angle. must check again.

now that the hose fit, the whole intake either sits too high making it difficult to attach to the plenum, or too low and the tip of the filter is hitting something at the bottom. any suggestions?

Can you post picture? The throttle body only goes one way really, connector on the bottom.

ill get a grommet to hold the intake in place and take pics inside the throttle body. it could be just the way it looks since it rides fine.
