How many cans did it take to do this? And which clear coat did you use after? The plasti dip clear coat? I'm doing the something tomorrow to my grill so I wanted to know how many cans to buy lol. Sorry for the 1000 questions!

I removed plastidip off my grille and repainted it with a gloss gun metal wheel paint. Plastidip faded quick and I wasn't feeling the matte finish with the high gloss of the body paint.
In both cases wether you decide to do the plasti dip or paint, one can is enough.
With plastidip, apply a few even thin layers, in case you ever decide to remove it.
With the paint, don't forget to use a primer first for better adhesion. I did about 6-7 light layers of the paint to get even coat, followed by 4 layers of clear.
When all dried out, I lightly wet sanded it down with 1500 to smooth it out, buffed it out to get the mirror finish.
And if your grille has road rash or any imperfections, sand it down too, or all the chips and imperfections will be visible.
