Front door, hatch stopped unlocking

I know with the doors you have to remove alot of componets, such as the window to get to the actuator. If i wanted to do the work myself with the rear hatch, would it be something i can do or is there alot to pullout just to get to it. My rear hatch is starting to go bad too.

Im having this same problem, anytime i click "unlock" button on the key fob. All of the doors open besides the driver side door. And when i click the "lock" botton.. The door behind the passenger side don't lock.. What's the deal with that ?

Well i have a 2004 fx 35 w/ 91k miles.. I think im going to trade this bad boy in this weekend.. Im tired of buying parts for this car..

Well I still have the OEM alarm system, the standard lock and unlock doors and panic button. When I'm going to unlock the car and throw my work bag in the back seat the door, sometimes, doesn't unlock. After hitting the lock and unlock button a few times it will finally unlock. Same thing happens with the front passenger sometimes.

I want to add an alarm system to my car, but if I have to replace the bad actuators, if thats what the problem is, then I can forget adding any mods anytime soon.

I got a oil change coming up this Monday, I'm going to talk with the dealer rep then to get an idea of what the problem could be and how much.

im having the same issue bro.. i might just call it quits with the fx35's.. i may look into a M35

now the other actuator seems to be out on the other side (door behind driver door). anyone did this recently? if so, how much? im waiting for quotes from glendale inf and west co nissan and may consider other shops.

thanks pierce. i do remember the rep thought im still under warranty on my last actuator repair since my fx "looks new." after this, the driver door side is the only one that hasnt failed on mine.

once i sell my g20, im getting a coupe .

here goes another i think. just this morning, passenger rear door will not open at all. the inside knob responds to lock and unlock but still wont open even from the inside. im hoping its just stuck somehow. or this thread should be "my actuator adventures" :tonguey:.

i was asking my local infiniti dealership service guy about that kind of work and he seemed pretty cool. He said that he didnt care if i brought in my own parts, he would install them. He said that actuators usually bill about an hour a door for replacement. So I was wondering does anyone know:

what is the average $/hr at a dealership
cost for an OEM actuator
cost for the rear hatch actuator (if its different from the doors) mines going bad too :mad.:

I hope this fits into this thread
