Front Bumper Skid Plate.

I was going to say it would look silly if you did this mod over the existing oem chrome strip. The oem strip clips in and there are two bolts in the back if I remember too, so you'll need to get behind it to remove it. Like I said, there are holes along the edge of the bumper from the clips, so they may or may not show with the skid plate mod.

Cut what is left of your existing mldg in half and move that piece to the other side to cover those 2 holes.... install Jeep guard, and you would have a great looking DIY... :wink (2):
 
Ok, so I went ahead and ordered the Skid plate for my 06FX. Headed over to Turbocad's shop and he trimmed everything down and installed it for me. I'm happy with the results, and those of you who wanted to try it out on the 06-08 models can see what it'll look like now.

Now all is left is to vinyl wrap the original chrome strip so the skid plate will stand out more!
What do you guys think?

Looks great! I would plasti dip the grill and then leave the skid plate the way it is so it stands out more. I think the contrast would look nice and make it aggresive.
 
Looks good to me. I love my Skid Plate. It was a genuis Idea Andy came up with he amazes me everytime I go to his house. I'm constantly spending money LOL.
 
Totally agree with plastic dip or wrap it with matte black vinyl the left over oem chrome strip.
 
So, kinda upset right now. Came back to find out someone stole my skid plate. Just like that, one day there one day gone. Barely had it on for 2 months. I suspect another Fx'r around the area decided to help himself to it. :(

YE man, for all my Brooklyn fxr's if you see someone with a chrome skid plate, snap a pic of their plates, I want to track down these perps... First my center caps now skid plate WTF!?
