i just emailed the manager of the dealership im waiting for him to contact me back, at this point i want everything they say to me in writing cause when they slip up i have proof
Not owning up to their mistake but at least they are fixing it. I still wouldn't bring it back to them after this fiasco.
this is what I got exactly in my e-mail this morning
"Hi Jimmy,
Although we did not damage your shifter assembly during your previous repair, we will take care of repairing the issue, because you are our customer and we appreciate your business. I have ordered the part and will let you know when it comes in so that you can bring your vehicle in for repair.
Have a great day!

Question, if they didn't mess it up, how would they know what part to order or did they tell you what was wrong when you brought it in? What if you just take the part and have it fixed somewhere else?
Anyways, if you don't plan to take it back, at least email her again, cc the service director, and cc the GM of the dealership. Just tell them you are going to report them to Infiniti consumer affairs, that there are already a bunch of negative posts about them online, and that you are going to post your incident on all the major Infiniti forums and recommend they go to a different dealership for service haha.
You should check to make sure everything on your dash works, heated seats, and so on.
I noticed the problem before I even left the lot, I started up my car put it into gear and felt it already. I told them before I rolled off and I already had to swing back because my dash was basically falling off when I got home, they admitted that the dash was poorly put together and fixed that right away, but my shifter I had to push more to have them fix it. Theres no point on telling them that this is online, even if they didn't accept the blame (which is complete bs) they have accepted to fix it, I can live with it I'll take this as a lesson learned
edit: I checked all my buttons too see if they worked before i even put it in gear, those were fine![]()
