Yes, your fx was the one I was referring to in my original reply. Glad to hear the led's have held up and still going strong!
Definitely better than CCFL. It looks better and so far it proves to last longer.

ExtremeDesignz rings vs Ebay rings pictures by marekwalas - PhotobucketFor so many years building custom headlights and taillights I came through hell because of those eBay rings. It’s almost impossible that you receive them in the same LEDs color, impossible that all rings you receive will work. Maybe you got lucky and receive them working but they last long for about couple weeks. I spent a lot of money on those eBay rings and problems that happened because of them.. I will give you a example:
You need to wait about 1 month till you receive those rings from eBay, later you see that rings don’t work. So you order another set. BTW I was working on customer headlights.. He wanted those rings and he was patient to wait a long time till I finish. So somehow I matched those rings, sent the lights to customer. Couple weeks later he told me that some of the LEDs on rings stopped working. So I ordered another set from eBay. Rings came but they didn’t work… Customers headlights came which I had to fix. AND NOW WHAT?? So I ended removing those bad rings from his headlights, put them together and send to customer, plus I refund all his money that he paid me..
I had a lot of situations like that, Because of those $10 eBay rings I lost my time, health and hundreds of $.. That’s why I decide to make rings for special order, with my sizes and specifications.
I can tell ton of bad things about those eBay rings.. Like:
- shipping its about 1 month
- color of the rings not match
- rings doesn’t work or partially work
- different types of LEDs on one ring
- cheap LEDs
- cheap, broken wires
- they are universal and made for 12v. Cars produce up to 14,7v
Please check pictures of eBay rings:
I'm glad finally someone offers this led lights along with the service. I've done similar work on my headlights back in Oct 2008 and they still work perfectly. I actually bought my led rings on Ebay and surprisingly they do last very long so far. I notice these have more leds than mine, but I actually like mine better because from far driving distance, you can see the led dots spacing out. Here are couple pics.
