More details here: http://www.infinitifx.org/viewtopic.php?f=29&t=23766 but here is my review. I am not affiliated with him, just a very happy customer.

LED Angel Eyes for 2003-2008 Infiniti FX35 and FX45. High quality custom CAD designed rings with no inverters or ballasts that are rated up to 15 volts.
The larger ring has 51 pieces of smd LEDs and small has 42 pieces of smd LEDs.

Extremedesignz goes above and beyond what is necessary, his work is excellent. I have always hesitated getting angel eyes -- I never really liked the previous versions. Also, the headaches I've read from other users. No ballasts, angel eyes custom made for the FX projector housing -- I was sold.

I decided to go for more of an OEM look.

1) Painted matte black housing
2) Leave chrome projector shrouds
3) Sanded area behind angel eyes, as the chrome is conductive
3) Leave orange reflectors (want to stay DOT legal)
4) Painted Chrome Angel Eyes Rings
5) Modded projector lens for better cut off and color (tried to do clear lens, but FX-R clear lenses does not work for post-recall projectors. You need to buy TSX-R clear lenses... too late so modded OEM "foggy" lenses)

Lights look amazing man and great find on Extremedesignz. Is the lifespan/reliabilty of the non-ballast AE's better than the earlier models?

Nice Ed! But I'm not really sold on the multiple LED's bulbs instead of the older CCFL design which I think looks better but has all the problems, lol. I hope these do last but the individual led's have been known to die out prematurely due to the intense heat from the HID bulbs. I guess only time will tell. There was another member who did this exact mod himself. I wonder how his led's have held up.

1 year warranty and designed to last for more than 50,000 hours under normal operation conditions.

Under the heat of HID's, life span will be reduced, by how much, being one of the first (maybe the first?) with these on in a FX headlight housing.

Either way, if they fail, I'll let you know. If they work great -- I'll let you know too.

These look different than the BMW's and Audi's so I'm happy. These LED's are an easy swap out for a new set (in my case), if they do fail.

yeah individual led's tend to have a shorter lifespan, i hope these work out well

thanks, I'm crossing my fingers too. But hey, someone has to try them out.

Don't you have LED's in your Turbocad dual headlights?

I thought about doing LED's in the fog lights, but those get much hotter due to the compact space. I'm sure the life would reduce exponentially.

In the original set I had them on the inner part of the shroud. But after discovering mismatched color leds and further discussion with John regarding the lifespan of the leds, I decided to delete them on the replacement set. Anyways, keep us updated on the life span and any other issues you may have (hope fully you wont have any). Enjoy them Ed!

thanks -- yeah, inner LED's probably harder to replace than outer.

I've been thinking of doing AE for.... 5 years?? =) Finally took the plunge after these came out. Heck that makes my big brake kit research look like nothing=).

looks great.
I saw those also at the org. these are different than ebay ones and he indicated he design them to run at the higher automotive voltage (~15v).

great job.

Do you didnt do the lens mod?

We couldn't do the lens mod, mine are post-recall projectors, so you need to use TSX-R clear lenses. I bought FX-R clear lenses that go on pre-recall projectors. There is no time to order and get them in as I need my headlights in to drive... so did a spacer mod in addition to other items to get a better cut-off and color. Not as good as clear lenses, but really good for a OEM lens.

did you send your HLs to extremedesignz or did you buy a new set with the custom angel eyes? $149 each or set?

$149 for the set.
Kit contents:
- LED two big and two small rings in crystal white color
- Mounting epoxy
- Gloves

Local, I drove my FX to him. To save time, he already had the inner shrouds made before I got there and just swapped the inners and used my projectors and outer lens if that makes sense.

His other customers just mail him their complete headlights.

i was about to buy those... Then he offered me a good price on my spare pair of headlights..... ;) Really nice and honest guy btw. GO to the org and look up group buys in classifieds, more info there. Im surprised why he is not on the scene.

whats better about CCFL's is that only problem with them was a converter that was mounted outside of the headlight, and changing them is fairly easy. In my 2 years with CCFL i never have problems with rings them self. Hope that those last for more than a year.

I agree, he is great to work with. FYI, I posted the link to the org in the first post.

Many seem skeptical about these, that's fine.

You have to try stuff out to see if it works out or fails right?? Used to being a guinea pig with having a FX45.

So far... 5 hours of driving so far (3.5 hours continuous trip today). LED's still work.

Hi FX45 -- I paid Extremedesignz to do the install and wiring. I actually dropped my car off and picked it up when he was finished. E-mail him extremedesignz@hotmail.com and tell him Ed sent you. He's a really good guy.

I'm glad finally someone offers this led lights along with the service. I've done similar work on my headlights back in Oct 2008 and they still work perfectly. I actually bought my led rings on Ebay and surprisingly they do last very long so far. I notice these have more leds than mine, but I actually like mine better because from far driving distance, you can see the led dots spacing out. Here are couple pics.

Yes, your fx was the one I was referring to in my original reply. Glad to hear the led's have held up and still going strong!
