ECU Reflash by Techno Square...

I think the money I get from returning that GPS I got myself for Christmas, I going to pull the trigger on the TS ECU reflash...

I'll be there 1/18/08 see if you can get a appointment too and we can make a fieldtrip out of it.

He'll be back on the 15th I believe......according to the girl that scheduled me.

I too should soon think about a reflash after i am done my mods but i would really like a custom tune for my own application (but with all those extra features like the removal of the speed limiter and rev limiter...as well as the full throttle option)...plus i need my car everyday so i cant deal with the down time of having to send in my ECU to TS

Topics on the unichip has been discussed before on the org and it is my understanding that it is a good system and another option compared to a TS reflash.

thanks for the link dave but unfortunatly I don't think TS is going to work for me.
I was wondering if what ever they use to flash our ecu could be purchased.

I went down to the local dyno/tune shop today and spoke to them about tuning my FX.
They recommend I stay away from piggy-backs which is a shame cause I was thinking about the new UTEC that frankiago has. They said that because the weather here changes so much from one day to the next, the piggy-backs don't perform as well. He recommended a stand alone unit or a ecu flash. I know TS does the flash but I would need to have it on the dyno to really tune it in. I know Cobb doesn't have anything but sent them an e-mail to see if they would be interested in a test vehicle.

Anyone here know much about the osiris uprev ($900 tuner series), if it's a flasher or a piggyback?

The TS reflash is already tuned for stock components. So unless you are going to add a lot of performance aftermarket parts you won't really benefit from a on the spot tune from a dyno.

Technosquare uses techtom flashing. At elevation and very seasonal weather changes some piggy packs can be a pita, especially when converting to speed density which is mostly guessing how much air is there based on the pressure.

Osiris doesn't support the FX.

So what would be my options here in Colorado that wouldn't be a pain in the ass with FI?
Would the UTEC work or would it also be a pita?

With your current mods, I dont think TS would have any problem getting it really close. They've seen all the things you have on, unless you're adding to that, I wouldnt be afraid send mine in if I were you.

I'm adding the LMS supercharger kit. But I want to use something other than the J&S safeguard that came with it.

By support do you mean they provide no maps/tunes or it just does not work with the FX period. If I were to get the "Osiris Tuner" is this something that would work on FX35 if i took it to my local tuner and have them tune it on a dyno?

will a reflash of the ecu void the warranty?

no, the diagnostics the dealer runs to check on things, even an engine light, cannot "see" that you had the ecu re flashed and tuned...(i have a technosquare reflash/tune)

They can find it & even reset back to normal parameters it if they know about it & want to bother. It's just not something they would normally look for, or even notice when it's hooked up to the Consult.

The only way the dealer can tell if the ecu was tampered with would be to physicallly look at the ecu itself and see that it was removed.

The only way the dealer can tell if the ecu was tampered with would be to physicallly look at the ecu itself and see that it was removed. But if they do confirm this then YES they can void your warranty if they feel the ecu was the component that was at fault for they warranty issu.
