Driving & Track Blog

I think I have to, & I appreciate the comments. No fun in blogging to an empty room. Hope to maybe even inspire more guys to get out and do something fun with your capable cars. If any of you LA guys want to get the led out, LMK.
I have to admit though that I got a few laughs & smirks, but never by those I saw on track or were sitting in the bleachers.

Next up.
Gotta kill the yaw sensor somehow.

Maybe sometime this year. Probably have to raise my car otherwise I'd leave a trail of sparks in rough corners.

Lazy reverse is probably a solenoid going. I would have said fluid level, but that doesn't seem to be the case. It's a separate solenoid on the VB so good thing is that it won't impact anything. You're right to just wait. If it goes, it goes, it won't damage anything. Just hope it doesn't fail somewhere when you need to back out. I had the low speed solenoid fail on my Stillen VB so when I'd coast down to a stop, it would fail before engaging 1st to start again. Just had to swap VB's and problem solved, no damage to transmission. Wish you could just replace the failing solenoid, but they're hard to buy individually.

I just saw this, so thanks
So what would you do to test this? Tranny shops are easy to say just rebuild, unless you think that's only approach if it's a failed solenoid.

Really? Some people laugh and smirk at you. Why? Cause they think you're driving an SUV that shouldn't be on the track? I do notice you keep up very well with some faster cars on the track, especially around corners

Yep. There are always some ignorants. Not to blame really since I garuantee they've never seen this behemoth go redline attack at Willow. They probably class it with the Murano. No matter. There's nothing here that looks compromised. It screams as track ready as can be (less race tires a rollbar . . . & some power ;)
Seldom haters out there. A few always want a closer look no matter where I go, & the FX gets more attention than all our group cars less the Monster the Miata. I even got "nice build" from someone, & different driver asked if it was a Nismo model. He was serious.

Seeing 2 fuses in RWD. Right One is Gang'd up with BCM and power socket. Any guesses here?

Curious why there's two VDC. & the gang fuse

Power socket seems obvious

BCM . .

The BCM provides the following features: • Automatic door locks
• Battery protection
• Chimes
• Compass/mini-trip support
• Courtesy lamps
• BCM diagnostic support
• Door lock inhibit
• Headlamp time delay
• Ignition key lamp
• Illuminated entry
• Instrument panel dimming
• Mechanical instrument cluster support
• Power door locks (with/without remote keyless entry)
• Sliding door memory lock
• Vehicle Theft Security system (VTSS)
• Windshield wipers / washers (front and rear)

Fuse back in cuz it kills abs completely. Burnouts like mad. Didn't know TC really is quite active all the time. Newfound respect. Torque like I never imagined. VQ is really held back. I think the problem is the undersize tire DIA., 8%. A 45 is kind of a solution. I'm gonna attack yaw sensor bypass first cuz a 45 is way bigger than a 40. Not really my look

Driving & Track Blog

Hey guys. Finally taking you on a run. This has to be my favorite road. Over 11 miles of twisted and freshly paved bliss. Great sweepers, hairpins, on and off camber turns. Feel free to sit in for the 20 minute ride. Conditions were great & if it seems slow, that's cuz it is. I'm driving probably 7/10ths give or take in turns, straights would be slower just to keep it safe.
Latigo starts at 2:30. The Snake at 18:30. Unfortunately the SD card filled up & I didnt get the full run of that section. I was booking and would have been a good video

& take a pause at 5:26. Really no excuse for that on a dry day, unless something broke .
He's lucky it was there & not at cliff

I'm SO GLAD you know this road! What was your top speed? There's nothing slow about this run, and yes, I hung on for the whole ride!:good:
