I see you have went to the dark side.. :vader:

Lol, looks good man

The painted black will look sick Aaron! Good choice and great price!

Wayne, did you get your grill exchanged? I noticed a very small section of my grill where the paint of it is starting to wear off, but it's in one place in the center bottom and it like the size of a dime (actually smaller). Do you think they would replace and not say wear and tear? I'm thinking of bringing these issues before my 60,000 mile warranty ends, but not sure how to sell it that it isn't wear and tear. Same thing with the rubber moldings on the windows, sunroof, etc....they are not bad by all means, but they show wear from the sun.

Jonas, they replaced the grill on my 07 G35, when it was around 1 1/2 years old. The grill on my 09 is fine, it only has one chip on it. When I took my sedan in, they said wear and tear and then I said, look at the front end of my car, it wasn't all pitted like my grill so they replaced it.

They should replace the grille for you if your say its actually wearing off. Rock chips I know they won't though unless you have a very friendly dealer. I asked about a wear and tear item in service before and the advisor said the reason they can't replace wear and tear items under warranty is because after the failed part has been replaced, it's shipped back to Infiniti headquarters to be examined of why it failed in the first place. They can't replace something thats failed from the everyday use of the vehicle. Atleast this is what I've been told by them.

Jonas are you going to get an extended warranty?

so if the rubber is showing some fade....is that wear and tear or could that be replaced? What would the argument be that it shouldn't be wear and tear?

Man, everyone is HATING on Plasti! Hate, hate, hate, hate! Stuff is amazing though. I did the whole front grill, the chrome strip at the bottom of the front clip, the chrome stripes on the bottom of my doors, all 4 door handles, the infiniti logo on the back, the FX logo, AND the roof rails (I removed the center rails). I am going to plasti my rims, my dog, and my girlfriend this weekend

Oh, I forgot to add. For anyone having trouble getting Plasti off of anything, use Goo Gone (especially the one with the delicious orange smell.) I taped off my roof like I was mildly retarded and the goo gone took the overspray off in no time at all. Make sure you don't accidentally get it on anything you want to keep plasti on though, it will eat it and turn it into some creepy, grease like substance

Can't wait to see pictures of your ride with the plasti dip after you get a few more posts! :)

I will definitely put up some pics as soon as I get my 10 posts. It's not perfect, mainly because I suck at it, but I like it a lot better than the chrome. Chrome makes me want to cry so the first order of business was to get rid of all of it. My buddy was like "hey man, check out this plasti-dip stuff." He created a monster....

Logan, on an unrelated note, I need your headlights immediately. Did you bake them, paint the inside, throw some CCFLs on there, and then put them back together? If you ever want to sell them to try something else, I call dibsies

I had Marek of Extreme designz do them up for for me but I think I may have been pone of his last projects as he has gone missing. You can try pinging him via PM, he does great work and is a real craftsman but he is very hard to get a hold of......

I will see if he is up for doing another set. I'll have to get an extra set of housings first though. I can't rip out my headlights and send them out since it's my daily. Quick question, is there a difference in the sport headlights and base model headlights?

But back to the plasti!! I couldn't do my rims today because it was too windy. I am going to have to do them ON the car because I live in an apartment with no garage and don't know anyone with jack stands. I DID however do the reflectors and the 3rd brake light in the back, so the whole back end is completely blacked. Then I ripped out all the center console pieces and am doing them right meow. I snapped some pics too and will post them for you guys to make fun of soon

Sport-blacked out housing with chrome rings, non-sport regular chrome housing. The only difference, I think.
