deciding what to get next

Glad you got this done... I can tell your having fun with your new mod...

It's like getting a new FX after you get the TS Reflash done...

Yessir lots of fun haha haven't been able to really tear it up yet though

That's great! +1 on a way to change rev limiter without a tune, I need my speed limiter removed for dyno's.

pay up sucka! technosquare reflash/tune
;)

I like this from JJ

Yeah i called Tadashi beforehand to discuss and filled out the form you are supposed to send in with your ECU; I already had the +2 timing and i wrote that and told him.

Did he suggest other things to you as well. or did he just worked with your intell and did the flash....??

JJ is the man!!!

yes he is haha. That's where i got it from.

Well i literally had two 20 minute conversations with him about modding the fx. He's the one who explained to me its better to get HFCs rather than a new ypipe, and i asked about a couple of other mods and how they would help (not ones that would necessarily affect the tune: samco hosing, oil catch, etc.) He's a great guy, and knows how to tune an ECU haha. But i wrote on the info sheet to call when my ECu got in so we could discuss all the mods, which he did, basically he's really helpful and awesome to deal with.

I'm traveling for work next week - might be the perfect time for my ECU to take a trip to California...

hehe maybe so  I didn't feel like waiting so i sent mine overnight USPS and had them overnight it back haha....and its not really something you want to come home before you do and sit outside either......

Sounds great buddy. I did spoke with him over the phone already, but more if he was able to do my F/I setup as well, not any specific details. Therefore my question to you. Enjoy......can't wait to get mine done

Tru dat. But I gots me a wife and kid so it won't sit. And I'll be able to install it as soon as I get home, which will be nice!

Jumbo as i wrote above here i already had contact met TS. What you need to do first is check out your ecu nr and check with TS if they can do it. Thats what tadashi asked me when i called him. Shame when your drive over there and here that he couldn't do yours......:err:

Ya i bet, i wish there were an easier way to lift the limiter w/o a full $600 re-flash. It seems like that is something that could have been incorporated in the Uprev Cipher software. But at the same time i dunno if it such a great idea to run the revs that high if all your mods are not in tune with each other
Limiter flash runs 300 at TS. That's not a custom tune. 7000 should be fine. Tadashi had mine on the dyno just shy of 8000, & the motor seemed to happily go there. He told me they ran a G at 7500+ for a continuous 15 minutes before it broke. So a bump in rpm from time to time isnt gonna kill anything. Myself, I dont drive in that rpm. I rarely see 6500 with manual shifting . . but 8000s there if I really wanted it.
Just dont valet your ride

Looks nice and clean!

Any specific reson for the delete?

I would have backed into a dozen things without my rear wiper!

because it looks cleaner/better in my opinion. I also use rain-x/wax on my windows so water trickles right off. Plus, i have a rear view camera:cool:
Don't listen to this, he's lying. He did it solely for weight savings for when he goes drifting. Lighter rear end = easier to swing around. He raises tire pressure in the rears to 45 psi and then wings it around, Ken Block style.

haha, I also finally figured out the awd control I think, so now it should be possible for me to wire in & make an override to convert an awd to temp rwd for drifting too, after I try mine someday I'm betting jb is going to want this for his drifting escapades  go ken block drifting!!

damn how'd you know! I mean, I needed some way to counteract the subs I put in, so i took the wiper off ;) haha

uh oh.....don't tell me this haha maybe that's what I'll use the now blank rear wiper control for! hahaha
