I saw a black FX35 (pre-2009 model) with the same problem here in Panama. It MUST be a factory problem with the car and it should be covered under warranty!

I have a 2009 FX gray with black interior and Im nervous about it happening to me. I installed tinted windows all around the car, I hope this helps.

Well i just found out that an old friend works in Pepe (dealer by me) that my dashboard has already been replaced and this is the second time this is happening to it the first owner lived in FL and had it done... But i think this is bull if i have to pay and it happened twice  i am not happy one bit ....

I just called the dealer to take mine in for various things with the bubling dash among them. The guy gave me a bunch of crap saying that the dash might not be covered because someone must have cleaned the dash with some chemical. They are gonna look at it next monday when i take it in so we'll see.

FWIW I've been lurking for quite some time, thought some might want to know of my experience with this...

Took my 2004 35 to my dealer with a major case of bubling dash, mostly over the Nav unit. Car has 72k miles, dealer denied to cover under warranty. I called Infiniti Customer Relations and after a few calls back and forth, a week or so later, they called me back and said they would replace on their dime/free

Job's done, dash looks like new again (like rest of car) and I'm very pleased. I'm thinking they did it because;
1) I was aware and mentioned that this was not an isolated case
2) I am the orginal/sole owner
3) This is my 3rd Nissian/Infiniti product over the years

Hopefully this helps others who are beyond the warranty period and have this problem.

Yea, I have the same issue but right now it is only localized around the edges of both the side air vents. And I am past my warranty by quite a few thousand miles, lol.

Call consumer affairs Doc. The last couple of postings at Infinitihelp about this were from members with 04 and 05 model years and over warranty mileage. You probably already have the number but for others reading this thread Infiniti consumer affairs can be reached at 1-800-662-6200 .

Wow, this sucks, hard to believe so many people are having this issue. Good luck guys! I hope I don't get any bubbles..

anyone else get any luck with Infiniti Consumer about replacing the defective dash boards?

Tried to call them and was told they aren't doing anything about that right now and if they do in the future they would send out a message.

Bolix:confused:

I have no way of knowing for sure but I also think it helped my cause that I initially dropped it off at my dealer and asked for it to be repaired (along with a driver side window motor problem and driver side seat belt tensioner). So the dealer actually called Infiniti initially to resquest that it be repaired under warranty. Though it was was refused/denied at first. It was my dealer that then suggested that I call Infiniti Consumer Affairs to ask that they reconsider.

I think it's a better route to take than simply making a cold call and requesting that they extend you a favor... Could be wrong. So when I called them, among other things I was able to explain that the car was at the dealer currently for repairs. In the end I had to pick it up while they took the time to ultimately render their final decision. But I was glad to make the second trip!

you can call to check your remaining warranty from any Infiniti dealer, just give them your VIN #.

You just saved $1500 to $2000. Nice. Does anybody know if the extended warranty covers this kind of thing?

When I purchased my Extended - I was under the impression that it covers everything the OEM warranty did, just extended.

yoooooooooooooo my FVCKING dash is getting hella bubbly!!!!!! ahhhhhhhhhhhh. no warranty so i'm out of luck. was wondering how hard is it to take apart the dash? (I'm pretty handy)

I may wrap this b!tch with suede.
