Current Gas Prices ?

Not likely the way the economy is going. Even with the news that opec is scaling back by 1.5 million barrels a day crude oil still took a dive. We should see below 60/barrel by next week.

I'm at Costco Las Vegas & we're at $2.87 reg right now. Amazing! Yet I'm sure they're teasing us making us feel all warm & fuzzy inside all to just hike it back up before Thanksgiving and drop it in Jan 09 like they always do!
:confused:BTW....Has anybody that currently drive and FX with the Chip/ECU & Performance air filter (STillen) & or cat back exhaust seen a significant increase in their gas mileage?
My first mods I'm about to get before x-mas is the chip, airfilter, then exhaust to beat this gas issue.
Then a carbon fiber interior templates for a more sporty look along w the MOMO shifter

Simple answer - no. At least I havent. Most people when they put a performance part on they drive it harder, cuz it either makes a cool sound or they feel that the car has more power. If there are any MPG gains its all gone cuz we keep stompin on the gas pedal.

LOL! That funny and yet so true. Yet, I all ready drive that way, so maybe I'd notice a lil saving. I remember that when I supt up my Cobra, and my Ducati, that there was nothing better than feelin, hearing, and enjoying that power and sound. Guess I'll have to see for myself cuz those parts are on my wish list. Good point though.

Performance parts do increase mpg's due to the better efficiency of the combustion process, but that is if you drive grandma style. Most will drive all crazy after, because they want to feel the power or hear the sound as said above... Even with a supercharger I noticed my mpg's increased on long trips.
