Current Gas Prices ?

Some of the 76 stations carry the 100.
I know the 76 on Arroyo in Pasadena used to carry it I dont know if they still do.
I think if you look on the 76 site it tells you where they carry the 100.

  • Redondo Beach, Unocal 76
    100 Octane unleaded (blue)
1870 South Elena, Redondo Beach, CA.
    Near Avenida Del Norte.
  • Pomona - Phillips Ranch, Unocal 76
    100 Octane unleaded (blue)
    Phillips Ranch in Pomona, CA.
Take 60 fwy, exit phillips ranch road and go north, then turn right on village loop and it will be on left hand side (about 1/2 of fwy exit).
  • Pasadena, Unocal 76
    100 Octane unleaded (blue)
    Pasadena, CA.
I believe its on the corner of Pinearm & Arroyo Parkway about 1.5 miles south of Old Town
  • Sears Point, Unocal 76
    100 Octane unleaded (blue)
    114 Octane leaded (orange)
Sears Point Raceway in Sonoma, CA. ->MAP<-
  • Woodland Hills, Texaco
    101 Octane
    Woodland Hills, CA.
Northwest corner of DeSoto and Van Owen
  • Agoura, Unocal 76
    100 Octane

28203 Dorothy Dr., Agoura, CA. at the Chesbouro off ramp of the 101 freeway in Agoura

Then theres Trick Racing gas - I used to put that into my car back in the days for "Battle of the Imports" when I was on the bottle. I dont think they are there anymore, but there used to be a station in Santa Fe Springs

That's actually a good point. For the uninformed (people like me), is there someone knowledgeable here who could explain what 100 octane -would- do? Higher mpg? Better acceleration? Make the car blast into orbit? Or not a whole lot.

It's $3.45 here at some stations, here on Long Island where I'm from!

Not a whole lot if youre stock.

The reason behind race fuel is aggressive tuning. It allows for some forgiveness, almost like a buffer, in harsh conditions. The higher the octane, the harder it is to ignite, but also the harder it is to detonate. You won't feel a difference between 91 and 100 on a stock FX, or even a mildly modified intake/exhaust on a still naturally aspirated FX.

$2.44 Yesterday. (not premium of course... like I said before, the Kia isn't that special)

If gas reaches below $2.00.9 / gal, I will learn how to do a standing backflip and I will video tape it and post it here.
