Cracked Window Trim

So last September I noticed this on Will's FX, and his is the worst I've seen. Turns out I actually have it too, as well as KNFX. Will told me that Gil also has it.

Interested to see who else has this.

I have the same issues on both sides of the car's rear window. It was replaced once but it cracked again on both sides!

my guess is it's heat related...

I have one on the drivers side at the top of the rear window.

Got the 4 up. Will said they wouldn't replace his under warranty.

That's what I was thinking. Will's had a pretty big gap in the cracks in the middle of the trim(not the corner like mine). He was thinking something with chassis flex, but I didn't think that spot was sturdy enough to crack from that.

it has to be from expansion & contraction with temp extremes, the plastic is bonded to the glass but the glass & plastic expand/contract at different rates causing stress which is why it only happens on the qtr glass assy & none of the other similar plastic... can't imagine any way for it to be from chassis flex at all

I have 2 small cracks on the right rear trim along the bottom edge. I planned on going to the dealer to see if they would cover them but I could end up with something worse it sounds. I may just leave it be.

I've got a crack with a big gap on my passenger rear trim. same as the 5th pic down. sucks.

I'm tempted to get pics from everyone who has this and email Nissan Corporate about it. I feel like they will be picky about replacing them on an individual basis since the whole window needs to be replaced. Especially with it being a $300 part.

I have it too and Jumbo said his looks the same as mine.
I have the jagged crack at the top corner and the clean slit gap on the bottom. Both are on the passenger side.

Have it too on my driver side. Might be heat or Stress when the body flexes. Something has to give.

while my car was under infiniti extended warranty; i showed it to 3 dealers and none of them wanted to touch it, not even goodwill..
