cold start problems

Ah ok i know exactly where that part is. When i changed my radio i was looking at that gray box wondering what it is. Thanks for the reply and help man. :top:
 
What specifically does this ac amp do and what is its official name. Thanks. Going to change factory 06 battery first. I assume I can read the date code to mean 06 battery. Thanks.
 
Okay so it's been a month and I have had ZERO problems yet. Even when the car was iced up from icing rain the car turned over stronger than ever. Now after cranking for about 1 second I can feel the car sending the signal to turn over (can feel the feedback to the ignition) and the car turns over without any hesitation! For those of you who are experiencing cold start problems (and have relatively new batteries), this may be the solution for you, too.
 
AC Amplifier wiring Schematic

Does anyone by anychange have a wiring schematic for the AC Amplifier....?? I need to wire a Spal Fan controller to the AC controller line.

I'm having the same problem as the first post (from user: jfx35) video called in youtube ""My FX35 - How it likes to start" (sorry, I cannot post links yet).

It doesn't want to start and then revs up and down for a couple of seconds....

I have a 2008 FX35 Sport Package, but no tech (No GPS). I bought it recently (Oct 2011) and the battery is supposed to be "new". I live in Puerto Rico, so we have hot weather ALWAYS (i.e. today was 104 deg F). What I noticed is that, for example I used it on Saturday, and on Sunday I don't use it, on Monday do it. I was thinking on the fuel pump or something like that, but after reading all, I don't know what to think....

Guys could you all solve the problem? How?

A personal experience with a local member on here. His symptom just as you have described. I suggested to clean the throttle body and the problem goes away.
 
Hello all;
Forgot to update. After 2 weeks of the throttle cleaning the "weird start" returned. The dealer sold me the idea to buy a battery of the recommended CCA. The one that had was bigger than the recommended. But they told me that shouldn't be less nor higher than recommended.

It should be the recommended battery type (24F), which is about 575CCA, 720CA (depending on the manufacturer). The problem was reduced from a 80% of the times to a lets say 15% (barely does it), up to now.
 
So I today in the morning I had the issue where my FX was not trying to start. I think it might be time to get a new battery. I just don't know what battery to get. I hope it's not something else and it's just the battery.
 
The top Group 35 battery is a Bosch (Per consumer reports). 2nd Place is the Everstart Maxx 35N....However, I'm not sure which battery the 2008 has.

Top 24f batteries:
1. Interstate Megatron Plus
2. Diehard Gold 50523
3. Everstart Maxx 24f
