After the car sits parked I get a clunk in the suspension as I'm pulling out of my space. I'm thinking it's a bushing. Anyone else experience this?

Vehicle is stock other than exhaust.

Seems like front. Only happens after vehicle is parked for a while. Something settles when it's parked then shifts and clunk when you first give it gas. After that no issues.

No definitely not that. It's a solid clunk. I'm thinking it may be a ball joint or tie rod end.
any info on this?
I'm getting a clunk going over some bumps, or when i go up my driveway (incline) however driving on the highway or regular roads it doesn't make the same sound.
Sound comes from the front driverside.
Any ideas?

I'm getting the same thing. When i park the fx for a while (approx 9 hrs in the cold) and i start it up after being parked, i take off and after a few feet i hear a clunk. Like something just settled into place. I dunno what it could be.

I ruined my front stabilizer bar link during my H&R install. When I'm in reverse and step on the brakes, I get the clunk. Only happens in reverse though. I've been driving with the bad link since September and am headed in to get it replaced next week. I'll update once it's fixed.

The noise could still happen w/ stock setup I would guess.
Upper strut bearing fail is the cause of clunk as everyone describes. Usually on modd'd springs.
There's also a TSB for earlier years on tightening some bolts up front not bearing related

Me too.. I'm thinking one of my shock absorber went out.. Cause it sound like things are loose.. I lifted and inspected for loose parts since I intalled new outertied rods/sway bar links and bushings.. But nothing was loose.. Im leaning towards the messed up shock absorber..

When I drive on the highway, or even regular streets, i don't hear anything at all and driving is sweet. Its going on a incline or decline, (out or in my underground garage), going over bumps etc.
So i know its not the suspension, im thinking its more Upper Strut Bearings or loose mounts like GTO said.
Gonna get it checked out soon i just hope its not $$ to fix.
I spent over a year fixing mine. Here are the solutions, as there are many causes for this.
- TSB - Pop/Creak from front fender. Fender bolts need to be replaced ($2 part around), 2 on each side. It is a TSB so the dealer knows about it.
- Sway bar link gone bad, replace.
- Lower control arm bushing gone bad, replace.
- Outer tie rod gone bad, replace.
- Strut Tower Brace (Stillen, GTSpec, etc...), ALL Bolts are not tight, tighten all again.
- GTSpec braces, tighten all bolts again.
- Upper strut mount bearings ($10 parts around), replace.
- Wheel bearing failure, replace.
- Broken spot weld on fender, re-weld.
I had this looked at and realized I never mentioned anything to anyone on here with my findings. (it's been over a month since this discussion).
My Mechanic looked at it and mentioned it was nothing to be worried about. He said that I am being to paranoid being that i just got the car. When he got it on the hoist he noticed a little movement in the tire, but didn't think it was time to replace anything. He assured me that it would go away, and well after driving on it for about a month i have to say i'm hearing it less and less. (weird?!?)

Thanks for posting that -- I know this thread is old, but I just got my FX35 and I have a considerable 'clunk' hitting bumps. I believe right now it's sway bar links --- they are only $13 (Moog) through Amazon right now, so I got two, will be here tomorrow and I'll be trying that first. If I give even a light UPWARD bump to the ends of the anti-sway bar (hitting the bottom to force them up) I hear what sounds like the same sound from inside the car. Hoping this resovles it. Can't hear it in the strut mount area...so, we'll see.
The suspension on this car HAS been modified and I have a strut brace, so if this doesn't work, I also won't be surprised :P It's just noise, though, it seems -- it doesn't feel like the performance is effected.
