Am excited to see the black chrome....
4 more days agonizing expectations
at least you know they are 4 days, we, the 1st gen, don't know yet how many agonizing days have ahead.
If the black chrome don't suit ya'll i highly recommend the stainless knobs. It really makes the dash look really nice and the knobs look really good with the other silver accents. Its amazing the difference in weight when u hold the stainless knobs and the black stock knobs. Here is a picture of the install in my 2010 FX.

black chrome update:
The shop got their machine ready, just waiting on the black chrome material now. It is scheduled to arrive Friday, so 2 more days guys!
I've checked with a few other chrome shops, but for the quality I'm looking for, it's going to cost a lot more than the shop I'm working with right now. It's kinda like "quality, cost, speed", pick 2. I chose quality and cost, hence the slow speed :sluggish: But I think in the end everyone would be happy with high quality yet cost-effective black chrome knobs, rather than getting them a few weeks earlier and either look ugly or pay a lot more.
I'll give you guys another update in 2 days!
I'll also get you 1st Gen guys an update in a few days as well.

Just got back to the UK but wanted to drop you a note to say THANKS.
1. for meeting me in LA (Orangeish)
2. great quality knobs !
Had to sit in the Heathrow airport car park when I arrived to get them fitted ASAP. Couldn't wait till got home!
Really looks great and the quality of the machining is excellent.
Still think an knurled finish on the outside would be great and give a little more grip but loving the improvement.

GlobeCLK, is there any news?
The shipment for the black chrome material did not arrive last Friday. It better come in tomorrow (Monday), both the shop owner and I aren't too happy with that vendor.
I'll give you guys another update within 24 hours (hopefully saying the black chrome is ready). Once the material is in I will be able to sell them immediately. Thanks.

Black chrome material is not here yet. Sorry for keeping you guys hanging for so long, the logistics of the shop is pretty bad when it comes to actually having to outsource material from other vendors (their in-house polishing work is amazing though). It's a day-to-day process now of seeing when the material comes in, again we're shooting for tomorrow (Tuesday). I will give you guys an update everyday until it happens. I wish the next update tomorrow would be letting you guys know that they're ready.
