Chrome Wrapping my MK1 Audi TT

Like the rear red accent lighting. Are the sides and front will be on all the time?

Looks great. You're already going with Chrome, so subtle isn't in the cards... :)

The whole car looks fantastic. The lights look good flow well too. Car reminds me of the chrome R8 that WCC built for the Tron movie. Just need to add the floating wheel look lol.

Yeah, non metallics are pretty easy to work with. My BMW is Hexis Kiwi Green from AVS and it could be done it a weekend. I re-wrapped half that car after an accident in about 7 hours. I'm considering 3M's metallic red for the FX, we'll see. Just need a long weekend.

At least using chrome to wrap a car is possible now. I used to do automotive graphics and about 10 years ago, the chrome and metallic films they had were practically aluminum foil. You couldn't put them on anything but a flat surface. If you tried to heat them up to conform, the finish would discolor immediately.

hands down to you for taking on a project like this. car looks great, keeping it classy yet bold.

I prayed for the day they made chrome that can conform and stretch. i watched a lot of videos and ordered samples before deciding on Avery Conform Chrome. When it came down to the install it wasn't as easy as the videos made it look.
The chrome stretches but turns to a hazy white quick if you stretch it too much. I tried to avoid that as much as possible so they installers had to work the chrome inch by inch, cut, and seem more then i want to.
After they over stretched the first panel and had to redo it we just said F*ck it.. it is what it is and started cutting.

I hate to say this but the car looks really nice from a few feet away but if you come close and start nit picking you will find a good amount of flaws.

Thanks... I'm really trying to keep the same look that i had before but just chrome instead of silver. I didn't just want it to look like a big blob of chrome so i'm keeping a lot of the black and carbon fiber to break it up and keep a nice flow to the car.
Hopefully i can still pull off my 2Face look with a tuner and sport luxury side.

There are not many professional installers here that can do a chrome wrap flawlessly. There are a bunch of them in Russia for sure, since they are doing it for years now.

those 2 cars were wrapped in "double" vinyl(chrome and colored one, pressed together)

Whats sup with Russia doing everything first. If i lived there i'd have a full body kit by now. They have some sick FXes over there.

That purple FX is sick! Zebra, you should try the hexis blue chrome! I need you to do my FX matte grey when I come to chi town!

Blue Chrome so sick!!!

Wrapper came to do the front bumper yesterday. Might come back today to do the rear.

Also redid the quarter panel. That seem is a horrible spot but they had to cut away at the damaged chrome. Might have to order some more later on to redo it correctly. Right now its not in the budget.

Car's already dirty from everyone wanting to touch it when they come by.

prop on attempting this difficult and expensive wrap. do you have any closeup pics of the seams and won't light or reflection show up differently at those spots?
