Chrome Wrapping my MK1 Audi TT

prop on attempting this difficult and expensive wrap. do you have any closeup pics of the seams and won't light or reflection show up differently at those spots?

This seem isn't too bad

This one had to be cut higher because of difficulties during instal. It was either do this or lose a couple hundred $ to redo this whole section.

Ran a little short on the hood so had to patch right here. Will redo the whole hood later

sections like this had to be cut and seemed. it'll look better after a few days int he sun

Front bumper done

Quarter panel redone and rear valence done


Redid roll call on back window in chrome.

Thats the first thing that I'm gonna do when i get the car driving again. 5% all around and 35% transition tint on the windshield. "You gonna need a flashlight to see me"

looks nice, how well does the chrome layer holds up against rock chips?, are they thick enough to take a beating? Guess in time it will tell.

Any automotive vinyl will stand against rock chips, especially the chrome vinyl.

Made a mirrored Import-Motion sticker and put it under my spoiler to reflect normal on my hatch.
A cool idea at the time until i put it on and it looks all warped. I'm going to try to make another one and reshape it to flow better.

Car isn't done yet. Still waiting on headlights and a few other things before i can get back on it. I just wanted to see what the car looks like off jack stands and in the sun.

The car kind of just disappears at night and blends in a little during the day. Everyone kept telling me that the car would be a bright distraction but really all it does is reflects its surroundings. I did get hit by the wrong angle and got a face full of sun a couple of times though.



I did kind of go far on the lights... maybe a little too bright on the license plate light.

Took off the Import-Motion under my wing and replaced it with a small iMotion one because of my "DOPE" Audi emblem.

Thanks guys... My headlights just came in the mail. I don't like the way they look but i like the R8 style LEDs so I'm gonna smoke these out like i did my taillights.

I like them! Honestly I wouldn't tint them and if I did I wouldn't go too dark.
