Impressive Wheel and Tire Choices!

Have you given any thought on detailing those new wheels and tires? If not, here are my thoughts:

Clean both wheels and tires with Amazing Roll Off using the Daytona Speed Brush and a Boars Hair Brush. Amazing Roll is safe and works great!
After Cleaning, coat the wheels with Opti-Seal and than layer with Optimum Spray Car Wax; both of these are state of the art products that can be used on the paint as well; and it doesnt stain the trim.
Finally Treat the tires to Ultima Tire and Trim Guard Plus

You wont be dissapointed...good luck!

hate to break it to you but those look exactly like my locking FX50 OEM lug nuts...if they fit the same size lug.

Not breaking any news to me, so no worries.

1) They are not the same size "lug," they are made for 14mm x 1.50 thread size, not 12mm x 1.25.

2) FX50 OEM use bulge seat acorn cap type. Range Rovers use mag style, which are flat.

3) Locking lug nuts are made by McGard and sold exclusively at Land Rover dealerships. Yours come with a rotating stainless steel washer too?

gen2 oem wheels requires these type of shanked lugs, same thread size: M12x1.25

also, gen2 OEM locking shank nuts are made by McGard too:

So for FX50's OEM wheels, you don't use cone seat lugs? Interesting I never heard this brought up from people who bought OEM 21's.

I like cone seat, it feels like it centers better than a pure flat seat.

not particular only on FX50 wheels , but even gen2 18's or new G or M wheels. It's a mixed bag at this point, need to look inside before one can judge if it's acorn or shanked.

Crazy how you spent $500 on a set. I just gave a set of 20 away when I sold my spare set of Enkei 21's. Didn't have the locking nuts but still.... crazy !! They look exactly the same besides the thread size.
But anyway its going to look sweet when you slap the 24's on the fx

Thanks.

There are aftermarket lug nuts for around $150 for a set and OEM is $400. Main difference is that OEM has stainless steel caps and lifetime warranty.

I went with OEM but didn't pay retail. Locks have no aftermarket parts so had to pay full retail for locks.

There are three sizes of Range Rover bolts so it had been an adventure nonetheless.

20 lugs are around 6 lbs so the opposite of lightweight.

You know your cleaning supplies I see.

These have a clear coat over the brushed aluminum which is nice and the inners were finished too.

Good idea on waxing them.

let's see these wheels already so I can convince you to sell them to me ;)

Ha these would be nice on a second generation, and you can use a thicker tire too as the other 24" 2nd gen ran even a 295 35 24.

Btw test fitted the lugs, actually impressed with mag seat vs cone seat. Seems like much more stud engagement and secure.

Chris...perfect to try out my MediaBridge, install e-brake cover.
Ed... I'm sure one of the guys from the City will give you a lift.
Ian... sorry man can't operate on the headlight at the meet. Come hang out.
Andrew... you been too slacking on the forum as late. Let that e-book go for a few hours.
Joe... I think Ed wouldn't mind if you take a breather to come join us. Ed is liking his 2.5 miles walk each day.
Marek... last I heard, your drywall are ups, I think your lady will be okay for you take break, right? Oh, bring the 2nd gen headlight. We want to see Ian drool over it.
