Bubbling Dash Warranty Extension (96 months / Unlimited miles)

That has got to be the worst dash bubble case I have ever seen on any forum. How long did it take to go from perfect to looking like that?

Emailed consumer affairs in regards to some kind of documentation or a letter about the extended warranty. Basically they just said.... yada yada contact your dealer.

Thank you for contacting Nissan North America, Inc. and allowing us the opportunity to be of assistance.

Nissan Technical Bulletins are written for the use of professional technicians and Service Department personnel in Nissan Dealerships. In general, these bulletins describe conditions that MAY exist in some, not all of the vehicles defined in the APPLIED MODELS column. Therefore, if a condition is described, you should not assume that the bulletin necessarily applies to your vehicle or that your vehicle will have that condition. We recommend you contact your nearest Nissan dealership’s Service Department to further discuss the service bulletin and if it applies to your vehicle’s situation.

Lets just say that after a while you would get use to seeing it, its like its almost not there until someone else brings it up. I was actually going to get it replaced but while in Guam they wanted an arm and a leg for shipping. I'm glad that Infiniti finally got there act together and are willing to fix this problem. I had the dash replaced the first time when I got the car under warranty and after about 16 months of having the dash it started to bubble in some areas. in about 6 months it was like a rash. The sun in Guam didn't help. Well I go in tomorrow to get it replaced. Lets hope it doesn't happen again.

Got my car back today with the new dash. Overall Im very satisfied with the work. I dont have any color differences from the other body panels, but then again, I dont use Armor-All. Its really hard to tell if the material of the dash is different from the old dash or not. I was under the impression that it would be different materials, especially the top part with the speakers. But you really cant tell any difference. I really hope Infiniti has fixed this issue permanently.I going to tint my windshield with a clear anti-UV tint to keep it looking new. Thanks to Mike H. at Infiniti of Lisle for all the help. He has been very helpful to me ever since I bought my car.

Here is the official letter I received from infiniti for the dash warranty. I guess I was ahead of the curve, lol.
The warranty is extended to 96 months or unlimited mileage whichever comes first.

Does that letter apply to only US FX owners or the entire North America including Canada? And it seems to be limited to cosmetic issue on the dashboard.

How can unlimited mileage come first? lol

Great guys, I'm glad you're getting new dashes. Now does anyone know how to mess mine up to get a new one?

I didn't call anyone. I just received the letter yesterday in the mail. But I did call infiniti consumer affairs a while back in regards to the dash issue. So maybe perhaps they had my call record.

Hey Andy I was wondering about that "unlimited mileage" one myself, lol.

Heat guns or hair dryer with a piece of wet cloth on top of the area you want to have bubbles. I think that will work. Can't guarantee that you will get a new dash or not.

oohhh ok . damn i havent gotten anything in the mail like that . should i call consumer affairs ?

Just take your FX to the dealer and show them the dash bubbling. Once they see that it should be covered under warranty.

mine isnt that bad yet though it only has a few bubbles . i wanted it to get a lil worse . but you think theyll change it anyway .?
