Nice, I am concerned about it happening on my '06 if I keep it a few more years. I see one area where it is wanting to start but it has remained unchanged for months. The bubbling literally appeared overnight on my '05, and spread like wildfire.

I did hear of one '09 with a bubbling dash, though cannot remember which forum.

Bet the only reason this occurred was because of the attorney in CA trying to start a class action suit.

And yes, putting a dressing on the dash will darken it to help match the surrounding material. It will still be ever so slightly lighter but much closer than when freshly installed. It worried me at first because the dash was replaced just as I was selling my FX35.

the dealer told me it could happen to any year except the 09 models cause the dash they replace ours from is from an 04 but he said same material made on all 03-08

I guess we need the lawer that will be willing to look in to the class action lawsiut in Canada.

thtat's the only thing that the corporte Fu^%%@ers care about.

On the side note I just treaded my 07 rusting murano and got my self second fx (2009).

New dash was installed today ans all went well except that I had to cut small pieces of the new dash to accommodate my alpine head unit. When I had my video/audio installed about 4 years ago I did not know the shop had cut small pieces of the dash behind the center stack to make room for the head unit. So I was surprised when the dealer called me and said they could not fit my head unit back in. They showed me the old dash and where it was cut. So I just cut the same pieces at home and it all neatly fits again. Here are some pictures of the before and after. My dash not too bad compared to some others but it was still an eye sore.

The dealer said this dash bubbling issue is NOT a recall and it is not going to be made public. But if the customer calls and complains of this issue then it will be covered under the special extended warranty designation. This is how it is stated on the service invoice.

Wow Doc, your old dash was pretty severe. I have three bubble total so far.

Congrats guys. I hope you don't experience any squeaking. I think Dopie had that after his dash replacement.

Yeah, I was really worried about rattles and squeaks after having the dash replaced. As it turned out, I did have a rattle but it was from the plastic panel that covers the bottom of where the in-cabin air filter is located. Not sure what caused it but it drove me nuts for a couple of weeks before finding it by jamming my foot against it.

That is one of the two thing I hate the most in my FX. The dash and the seat. The seat problem I believe only occurs in 2003 ~ 2005 models.

I doubt they will do it those seats cost more than 10000 to repair but it's worth a try if they were able To listen to the customers for the dash then it's worth a try to start complaining about the seats who knows we might suceed

Try calling your local dealer first to see if they are aware of the program yet.

tHe dealer don't even have to know just call up Infiniti consumer affairs they fax over your information to your dealer and they will let you know when they will recieve for you to stop by and get it done at least that's what happen to me
