Bubbling Dash Warranty Extension (96 months / Unlimited miles)

Not sure if anyone else is getting the same info from the Stealerships but i was told the info wasn't going to show up in their system until at least monday for the VIN numbers to reflect which FX35's it applied to...whatever that means. I did speak with the Customer Service people for Infiniti and get better service over the phone then at the dealership (Infiniti of Annapolis, MD). the Service center even told me i had a recall on my fuel hose. Now they have my info updated in their system so i guess what ever comes out from them i will get it in the mail.

From the info i got its an extended warranty for the original dash. 03 to maybe 05...not sure on the dates. but at least i will get my fuel hose fixed and set a date for my dash. This will be number 3 for my FX35. Hopefuly third times a charm:tup:

Dealership placed an order for my new dash this morning. I just called and asked if they knew about this extended warranty on the bubbling dash issue. They confirmed it and they placed an order for the new dash which is supposed to arrive in a few days. I will update as soon as it is done.

I'm guessing the dealership i went to is behind the power curb. Go figure, with the service i got. i'm going to check out the other dealership in the area. I now i had it good when i was in Guam, but i would think a luxury car dealer would treat there customers better then the others.

well yeah, they do have to remove the whole center stack, & the whole center console to replace the dash, but any radio panel mods shouldn't affect the warentee for the dash pad unless they really wanted to be pricks & look for excuses. If what you did is difficult for them to remove & reinstall then bring it to them with the radio stack already removed. shouldn't be a problem really as that has nothing to do with the dash materials failure

Thanks, I was actually thinking about removing the center console. I really need my dash replaced.

Somebody post a copy of that letter.

Yes or stop by the dealer in person and get it done and show them? There was a bulletin for '04-'05 years where the seat would be a creaking sound where they would have to replace the seat rails. You would also feel the seat move a bit when you brake or took a turn a little quicker. I took in months ago and they just lubricated it and it came back 15 min after getting the car done. But now, the tech was able to replicated my issues and they are replacing the whole seat rail/assembly.

IlovemyFX: Somebody post a copy of that letter.

I have a copy of the letter, but its at home at the moment. Its not an official letter or bulletin, its a notice really someone whipped up on MS Word to give dealers a heads up. I can post it later today when I get home.

Jeff this makes me think it might be a good idea to start a new forum section where everyone can post any service or warrranty letters from Infiniti. I'll start with this one------

Good idea, what should it be called?

I thought we had one already under TSB's/recall info. But it may be a good idea to have a dedicated section for ANY and ALL Warranty/Recall/TSB informaton for all the vehicles and model years..

I think this is a great idea. The only warranty notice I've seen is the radiator fan notice I just received.

Just got back from Spinelli Infiniti / Nissan in Pointe-Claire and aparently they have no idea what I' talking about. Infiniti rep had told me that

1. this is the first time he came across that problem
2. Infiniti Canada have no plans to extend warranty in Canada

It looks like this issue is "local" US problem. I guess my FX got contaminated when I went to NY.

Anyone in Canada with this problem?? I'm soooooo tired of the dealer and Nissan BS.

I have 3 years old Murano with rust on the roof and i was told this is my problem as I'm over 60K km and out of warranty. They have no problem charging big $ for all the maintenance but when it comes to standing behind their product, you on your own.

How is this for 3 years old nissan

Typical in Canada. They don't give a damn. Especially Nissan and Infiniti Stealership.

For your Murano, isn't the standard warranty is 4 years; then you should be covered? Or did you buy a used one?
