BOSE amp repair

Just did mine. If interested, PM me because I bought four relays. I will send to anyone that TRULY needs one.

I found it easiest to snip off the old relay and extract the old solder one pin at a time.

Worked like a charm... Rear view mirror appropriately wiggling again. Took about 45 minutes in total. I'm not the greatest with soldering, but even a caveman can do it, I guess.

Found out a much cheaper and faster way to fix the amp.

Just take the amp out, take it's metal case off, and then put a thick piece of duct tape on the top of the relay and then close in the metal case so it keeps preasure on it.

I wanted to replace the relay as well, bought it, but hey, i'm lazy so I just tried this and now it's been working for 5 months :D

I had the same problem a year ago and did this fix and was SO happy to have the OK Base back... but while I was fixing the sub I could help but notice that the sub box was molded with an open spot that looks like it could accommodate another amp... wondering if anyone has tried adding a second amp in that spot (there are two speakers so could we go one amp per speaker and double the base) or clean it up a bit... I don't know much about this so I apologize if it can't be done for a simple reason...
