Best compliment rec'd in your FX?

When I was on my 2nd month on my current job, I walked into the parking lot to see 3 security officers checking out my car. One of them peering in through the dark tints. I cringe at the thought of him leaving prints on the car.. I know all of them and throw a general greeting of "what's up guys?" and caught them by surprise.

One of them exclaimed, "so this is your ride! Man this thing is so sick as hell"

Well I honestly have never received a compliment on my FX in person except on here from You guys. :)
 
Drive it more, Adam. :smile (2): We all jelly about your ride being in a commercial. :wink:
 
Had an interesting run in with a White modded mustang last night.
It had a Roush badge, but didn't look like one. VERY LOUD, though.
Anyway, I made a right down the road and I accelerate quickly
past a Mustang, unintentionally, that made a right at Whataburger.
I guessed that egged him on to turn around and chase me
So we did several runs, then we went back to Whataburger and he said
"Badass, man! Your car sounds sick, is it standard also??"
 
I got a compliment today on my to pick up pizza, as I was driving I was pulling up to a red srt8 charger and as soon as I got next to him he floored it and HOLY $HIT it was loud as HELL!!!!! So he slowed down and I passed him up and came to a red light and rolled down my window and he pulled up to my passenger rear door and I looked over and he was looking out of his window at my fx. So he pulls up next to me and I say wow that thing is loud and just laughs and said ya but what are you driving??? cuz that thing looks mean as hell!! So I smiled and said thanks and tell him its an fx and he was like you have an exhaust cuz I was starring at those blue pipes you got? I tell him yes so he was like if its an Infiniti why do you have Nissan on your wheels so I started laughing and I told him they are gtr wheels so he was like no $hit that's badass! Then I asked what he's done to the charger and he said he had a blower and was pushing 700 hp!!!! So in the middle of us talking the light turned green and people started honking at us so he said go let me hear your exhaust so I took off then let off then he passed me up blew the horn with a thumbs up. I was happy :)

Thanks guys, it was also my first time driving my fx since I tore my ACL almost a week and half ago so this made my 1st drive even more exciting! Lol

Only somewhat compliment I have received so far was leaving boston pizza. I had come out to turn on the car ahead of time and then went back in, when we were finally heading out I walked out to my car and a few girls we were with asked if it was my car. After I said yes they laughed and said it was beautiful.

I do get people asking about the exhaust when they see the blue pipes. And the guys at the dealership always comment on the little things that are weird about my car until I explain what I have done to it.

I think when I get it lowered and put on some wheels it will stand out more. Because right now with the stock 18's it just looks like a lot of the other FX's. It takes someone with a real keen eye to notice the things I have done (DTRL swap, rear wiper delete, HID fogs, LED's, reflector tints etc.)
 
I think I shared this with Stu when it happened, but an old dude comes to me and say "hey look we have the same car" - and I look and hes got a Nissan Murano.

happened again..... drove by a guy on the way in to work. when I parked he comes around the lot and says "damn that thing sounds good... that has to be a v8". I nodded and said "ya it has a small one". That flowmaster again...
 
I've only had my copper 09 FX 35 for six months, but for the 5th time in the last couple of weeks, I've had someone stop me and compliment the color and the look of my FX.
 
I just pulled into the gas station next to a guy in a white corolla and he was just starring at me as I parked. As I was walking around to pull out my wallet, I looked over and he was at the front of my car and he started walking towards me and asked what the hell is this?? I was like uhhh it's an infiniti....he looked confused and asked an infiniti what? So I laughed and said it's an fx35. So he was just walking around and said wow that looks really nice, is it fun to drive? I smiled and said hell ya and he laughed and said I guess that was a stupid question for such a nice car! So I said thank you and he just kept starring as he drove away. I had the biggest smile on my face :D

That's awesome J!!.

Must be a gas station compliment day, because I just had a very pleasant encounter with another FX owner, my first official car compliment. Pulled in, the station was empty, went to pay for gas, came back and I see a black 1gen parked next to me and the older gentleman is just walking around mine. He asked what year it is. When I told him it's an 04, he amazingly admitted it looks better than his 07, which looked clean and well taken care of, and had only 40K vs 100K on mine. He noticed the painted wheels, calipers, bumper protector, CF roof wrap and interior wrap. We chatted for a while about the FX and other cars, and before we parted I handed him the IS card, so hopefully he will become our new member.

last weekend on the highway minding my own business day dreaming, a male driver and a female passenger in a VW golf was behind me, then beside me, ahead, slowed down, then speed past and chick did a FULL 180 head turn. Then slowed down beside me and gave me the thumbs up lol. was awkward so i blew past them and never saw them again :P.
