BC Coilovers Info & Unboxing (03-08 FX35/FX45)

That's really good turnaround then for restocking. Another member mentioned me that it took a few weeks to get his.
Mine left Atlanta this morning, and is supposed to get here tomorrow.

Well following the rules of FI, I'm not even close. I guess I could get something used and scrape by, but I wouldn't have the extra funds if/when the motor blows. At the rate I make money, I would do it in about 6-7 years  but of course that will change after a real job out of college. Just gotta stay out of an FI FX so I never have the urge until it's feasible money wise.

same here, actually i am waiting for Brad to sell his motor, hey Brad you listening? :tongue (2):

haha - yeah.

I've already thought about swapping my built motor into a Silvia or 240sx, then putting an LS2 in my FX... but I think I'm keeping the FX for life...

Don't hold your breath!!!!

Ordered mine yesterday, pretty excited not gonna lie:) took a look at the suspension setup and it looks pretty similiar to my prelude so I think the install should go smoothly.

I'm gonna stick to this thread for replies; I finished my install today and I must say that the quality is amazing. It's much softer than my Prelude's, but I think that's a good thing. Right out of the box, the drop is great, maybe a little lower than the H&R spring setup. Dampening is a sweet feature, but I don't like that I cant adjust the rears without getting completely under the car. However, while driving with my windows down, I noticed a crazy loud creaking noise coming from the left side. I had my girlfriend drive it around the block and could not tell for the life of me where the sound was coming from. I'm planning on raising it tomorrow after class and adjusting the coils to lower the stance a little more, then I'm gonna take it to get an alignment. I'm posting this on my iphone right now but I'll post pics of the "out-of-the-box drop" and pix of it slammed tomorrow;) overall, I love the product, im just hoping that when I go back under and button her up again that the horrid sound goes away. I'm praying that I just missed something...

And on a side note, the lower two bolts connecting the front strut were torqued on by God. I swear I almost broke a finger trying to get those damn bolts off.

Thanks for the fast response Josh, it's really refreshing to know you'll always have our backs when we need it! Found the problem, it was one of my sockets bouncing around in the engine bay, lol. I thought I grabbed everything, but I sure am glad that it's this rather than one of my coils being all messed up. Either way tho, my car is at the max lowest setting on the rears and the fronts still have about 2 1/4" left to drop, but this is definitely lower than what I'm used to seeing. I mean seriously, lol. I never saw the transition from a set of stock to lowering springs, than a full coilover setup, I love it. Rides a tad bouncy when I'm driving but i think for NOW it's worth the look. I mean people were noticing in a heartbeat, walking into walmart people were asking if it was "dropped" lol. But anyway, I'm gonna post pix in about 30 min when I get to a computer!
