Badgeless Grill

I didn't want to start another thread regarding this but here's what our resident butcher, TurboCad have done for me:

Sorry for the crappy cell phone shot.. I'll post more pics later on the grille and on the 50 brakes.. Just in case anybody is wondering which parts of a spare grille is used for this, here's a pic:

The left and right parts of the grille are the good parts (as John told me, I don't know heck about it  ) and he tried one part first to test fit pieces and then used the second part for the grille. That said, it looks like you can make 2 badgeless grilles out of 3 stock ones.. AND you need a talented guy to do it. For once, I can say I'm lucky to be on the east side, close to NY..

I feel like you can see past the grille too much. Maybe it's just the lighting of the pic, but I find myself focusing more on the radiator and not the grille. Could you take another pic outside maybe?

Turned out great man. It's weird, I bought an Absorber today and it had an FX with badgeless grille on the box.

I think that is because they don't want to give away that it is an Infiniti. They usually cut off the front badge for things like that.

Yeah, like almost every tire commercial... you're like "oooh, I know what that is!" and you blurt out the name only for the commercial to end with "Because there's so much riding on your tires..."

Just angle of the shot, from slightly above or below this angle nothing behind would be noticeable.

I'll take some good shots. This is the first time it's been sunny for a while here so I could only get a wash yesterday.. Tomorrow should be clear as well so I'll get some shots after work.. As Rookie said, it's the angle of the shot only.

There is also the not so popular Street Scene Mesh Grill

Isn't this like a cover!! Stillen puts it like an insert!!

OK , I would like to know how different the shape of the 06 vs. 03 grilles are . I wonder if anyone has made a 06 grille work on a 03-05?

the shape & size is exactly the same, there different slightly in there lower mounting, but can be made to work

Well thanks! that makes me fell a bit better - could you elaborate on what needs to be done to make the 06 grille fit the 03-05 bumper? Is it just figuring out a way to fasten the lower part? If I understand what you are saying , it will fit in the bumper but the lower clips don't line up? That sounds no so bad...

Thanks for the info!

the fx grille attaches way more secure than it needs to. the 4 top holes for the round push in connectors that go under the hood straight into the radiator support alone is enough to make sure the grille is never coming off no matter what short of smashing the nose up, so even if you only had those 4 youd be ok & this part is exactly the same 1st design to 2nd, as well as overal size & shape

. everything below this is to keep the grille securely attached to the bumper in a way that the bumper can be removed & reinstalled to the vehicle while the grille stays attached to the bumper cover as an assy. while that's cool & all, it's also not absolutely necissary either. the grille is attached to the bumper with 4 locking clips, 2 on either side. these are the ones that you release with a flat screwdriver through the grille. then there is also 2 lower hooks that also engage... these also secure the grille & help line up the grille for the other 4 locking clips to engage there holes easily too. I'm not 100% sure if the 4 locking clips themself actually line up correct with the old to new grille swap. if they do then that alone is more than enough to hold the grille very secure & you could just cut the bottom hooks off completely & your done. if the 4 locking clips don't line up, then they will be useless so then modifying the bottom 2 hooks would become more necissary to keep the grille more secure. I'm sure when you test fit it you'll figure out an easy enough solution
