Auto Fold mirror module (installation)

I recently installed an auto fold module for the folding mirrors. It was a pretty easy installation and did not involve any cutting of wires. The unit comes with a harness that connects between the factory connector and the mirror switch. There are three wires that must be connected, constant 12V, lock signal, and unlock signal. I pulled the 12V from the fuse for the power outlet on the kick panel fuse box. I used the violet (lock), and green (unlock) wires from M119 at the BCM.

You will need a low profile fuse tap, a fuse (I used a 15a), and a few connectors.

What was in the box.

Remove the brown connector from the mirror switch.

Connect the supplied harness between the connector and the switch.

Run two wires from the bcm (violet and green) to the supplied harness and connect.

Connect the power wire and insert the fuse tap. That is basically it.

Do you have any info on the unit itself? Where it can be purchased? Does it auto close when the ignition is turned off, and auto opened when turned back on?
 
I bought the unit at aliexpress. It took a while to get here. I think it cost around $25. The mirrors will fold when the door is locked and unfold when the doors are unlocked. They work when using the lock button on the handle or when using the fob

Can you share a link to the unit you purchased?

I ordered one 8 months ago. Is that how long yours took? Also, will this work on a 2016 qx70s
 
8 months is way too long. I suspect that your package has been lost somewhere. Mine took about 2 months. The module should work as long as you have the power folding mirror option. The unit is still working fine.
