Attacked by Cadillac owners

Hahaha, no plan in moving, but do have plan for a trip to LA in early July with family. Hope the timing is right to meet a couple of you guys out west.

I'm trying to imagine what you talk about on a Caddy forum. I'm envisioning posts about a nice drive to the city, leaving your car with valet, and having a romantic dinner with your middle-aged wife. Then you come home, and are in bed by 10.
:rotfl: :good: Good one Stu!

Hah!

They're just insecure.

Yeah, Infiniti FX is just a "dressed up" Murano. Just another Nissan. Oh, and the last I heard, the GT-R is not Nissan.

My cousin just got a new 2013 Cadillac SRX. He was excited on all the new features it has. Like keyless entry, push button start, rear view camera, etc. As I was laughing at him, I explained how my 04 Infiniti FX has ALL of those features.... I told him it's about time Cadillac caught up, they're 9 years behind!

The new touchscreen interface is really nice though. I really wasn't impressed with his new ride, and would take another FX in a heartbeat. He has tons of money and I just can't figure out why he wasted it on the SRX. It's mostly a toy for him, as he has a couple very expensive cars.

As a former owner of 2 Cadillacs I will say this, they suck and parts are always breaking on them. Not bashing them in anyway though, they do ride smooth.

:plus1: Totally agree on the smooth ride. I always wonder how they make suspensions that just dips gently when the car hits a deep pothole when other vehicles would thud. Other than that, that is the only best thing I can associate Caddys with.

I have a cousin who has an Escalade and drove it a few times. It lacks the character and personality of the FX. It just felt too "tame". On top of that, his caddy spends more time in the shop for stupid issues that you will never hear of from Infinitis.

Yes, this is a very nice forum.

My brother has owned 4 Caddys now I think, at least 3. All of them were junk and breaking all the time, including the current one....2010 STS. Dumb stuff that would break too, like brackets for A/C vent pods, glove compartment boxes, window motors, etc. Just falling apart one piece at a time et. al Johnny Cash. :)

Hahahah , not in the CTS-V section. Mostly gearheads in there, not the old snobs. Im not a Cadillac fan, but the V is another animal all together and doesnt compare. I love that car as much as the FX just for different reasons. Anything with 400hp and a 6spd with an LS under the hood is going to be fun to drive. Oh and it doesnt ride smooth at all.... for a reason.

Hey, screw you kid!

Just kidding, even though that's exactly what we do. Except you left out the part where I'm gettin me some from 10:00 - 10:15. Why? Cuz my wife thinks it's hot & sexy I have a job, house, car(s), kids, retirement planning...

I must admit the people here certainly are very friendly, open and knowledgeable. I've been an active member of many online forums (m3post, mbworld, etc) and everyone here seems much more understanding and willing to help. Good stuff.

Car forums can be dicey. Everyone here acts pretty grown up. Only thing I could imagine worse would be if manufacturers started including Apple/Android as the stock infotainment/nav system then you'd have the car preference and the phone fanboy fights!

Doesn't matter what other people drive when they get in the FX and I show them the around view camera their jaws drop. Best was years ago when I got my 2004 FX35 and a lady at a gas station compared it favorably to her Chrysler Pacifica I just smiled and thought better to save the education for another day!

Cadillac forums is a junk forum! Us cts-v owners even look down on them... I've been on LS1Tech since 2008 in the cts-v section and consider that home... Another great forum for V owners is CTSVowners! Nothing like the dbags over on Cadillac forums...
