Around View Camera Mod

Yes it does have a time out after 3 min. Its the same for all cars. But i doubt anyone has noticed it cause rarely are you gonna drive with it on all the time. The point for me was to be able to go faster and use it.

haha yah only me would leave it on for a long time and notice! Really no point since I have to watch the road but it's cool to just have it on. Thanks for the response!

hey, you guys know how to do the Nav/DVD while driving mod on an 09 FX? it is different than what everyone has posted.

the real reason I want this is becauyse when I'm approaching a parking spot, for example, at a higher speed, I like ot engage the camera to make sure I fit perfeclty....but sometimes its too fast and it shuts the cam off.......

also to ride people's asses...wait what? hahaha

If you know how to cleanly remove the wire from the harness, you can disconnect them one by one untill it works. I tried looking for a 2011 wiring schematic with no luck.
 
phew, i was about to pull out the front panel cause some other years did that, glad a 09+ came out. Would this enable GPS while driving and be able to watch DVD on the go too?

no those are separate connections:tup:
 
separate connection as in it would have to be the one behind the gps? or just a different pin?

Kick Panel Tool?

Hi guys;

For the 09's, is there a special tool to release the fasteners of the kick panels? If not how are they unfastened and with what tool?

They are just clips. I use a trim removal tool; $5 on Ebay or Harbor Freight.
