I'm still searching for the perfect rims that doesn't break the bank. Flipping through thread I fell in love with the AR Burns 22 inch

Price i can find online range from $1000-$1400 for a set and I'm sure they can be found for less.

However I've been told that AR makes very heavy rims. I found out the stock 18 inch is 60lbs with tire.

Anybody own this set of rims and can tell me how much it weights?

I don't want the rims to make the fx go even slower.

I love these. Almost wnt for them myself. I think they're 'bout 40, but they're strong. AR actually makes some decent stuff. They're big, & they have good equipment turning these guys out. You shouldnt notice much if any speed difference from stocks. Going to 22 is probably more hurt than anything, . . but 'the rims make the ride'!!!

My Axis Titans are 41 lbs each I believe without tires -- they are strong and glad I bought wheels made for trucks with all these pot holes that are out there.

yes those photos are the reson i'm considering this.

Axis Titan is my second choice.

GTO how much does your V5 weight? I know its out of my budget but just for reference.

So any online retailer site that shows weight? why is it such a big secret....

I see my baby in some HRE in a few years :D

anyways, How much performance lose are we talking about here with these rims? i still couldn't find any exact numbers but lets say its going to be around the same as the Axis Titan.

would the extra weight + being 22 inch make the car handles noticeably worse and not as powerful?

saids the one with iforgeds lol.

LOL, just saying that for the money they are ok. But if you are going to get HRE's later on I would suggest saving your money now and get the HRE's sooner.

Also, with 22's being a lot heavier then your stock 20's I am pretty sure you will notice a significant decline in steering responsiveness. I noticed a great deal of steering responsiveness when I change out my 22 iforged to other nismo 19 inch one piece forged monoblock wheels.

Cheap crap and ridiculously heavy. Why would you want to add all that u/s weight to your car? It's going to feel like a barge...on the Nile...in rainy season.

So is it better for me to lie to him and say...

"threezero, those are great wheels. Adding all that extra u/s weight to your car will benefit you greatly. Your FX will drive significantly better with those wheels. You should really spend all that money on these wheels to make your FX a better driving vehicle."

...even though I know that is all a bunch of BS.

OR should I speak my honest opinion and at least tell him the truth? Which is really being more supportive? Which is really in his best interest?

I'm just a straight shooter and for me, if I ask a question I would want a straight answer from somebody. If that answer isn't agreeable to me or isn't what I was looking for then I don't get all butt hurt over someone giving their honest opinion to a question I asked. I would respect someone far more that gives me a straight answer over giving me an answer they think I want to hear. This isn't high school. Or a Miley Cyrus birthday party is it?

Just came across your heartfelt loving support of cheese in another thread. Way to destroy a guys soul JB. Cheese thinks he's driving a $50K Ford on 22s and an Old Man Emu lift now. He's never going to be the same again.
