Any Bike Riders Out There?

A short person came in with a 24 inch road bike.

Dude...what's up with that long wheelbase? Is that a 650B wheel on the rear or something?

Love that road bike! Looks long, low, and slack haha.

I don't know much about bikes, I actually started gaining interest in it a few months back but wow Stu I love your bike. To me it looks like the Ferrari of all bikes. Can anybody recommend a good beginner mountain bike that I can start off with?
Well thanks. It's not the best out there or anything, but I've built it up pretty nicely.
I would say find a fairly inexpensive bike with a good warranty and from a shop you can trust to cover you on warranty issues. That's one of the things that lead me to get this bike.

Here's another shot:

Nice bikes guys, just refinished my first bike- 2002 Gary Fisher Solstice. Will post some pictures next week. Did anyone try trueing a wheel using the v-brake method(on a bike)? Or should I go to a shop to do that?

Zip ties in the fork or seat stays work well with disc brakes.

I live in Ashburn VA & own a 2012 Trek 7.2FX. I usually ride at least twice a week on the W&OD trail to/from work.

I got my ass handed to me at the NJ State MTB Championship today. Cat 2, 35-39. I finished 18th out of 24. Tough, fast course and alot of roadies came out since it wasn't very technical. Leg shavers suck.

I have rarely seen any other FXs with bike trays on top, but two GEN 2 FX35s were in the same lot as me. Two Thule Sidearms mounted up to each FX (they were also teammates, apparently). One silver, one gray. Bone stock with 18s. I didn't have my phone with me at the time to grab a pic and they were gone when I returned. Probably Cat 1 riders. Some team out of Teaneck, NJ.

I think it's a 19" or 20" frame. Happy with a bike so far. My first ok bike that I bought, so decided to painted it right away after I saw 3 identical to mine in one week, since we are in WI and TREK headquarters are just 45 min away(people here are going crazy about trek bikes and selling/buying them used for twice what they worth :)

I just saw a bike on "How its Made" the other night with solid polyurethane tires. My first thought was how heavy they'd be, followed by how terribly they would ride and handle. Anyone ever experienced them first hand?

How much would a bike like this cost? I've been looking into road bikes to ride while I'm in TX since there's not much in the way of mountains. I want a Giant TCR to match the Glory, but they all seem too expensive.
