Any Bike Riders Out There?

I just won't post pics of the cargo area of my FX then. :embarassed:

At some point I just gave up on keeping it clean, when it became a bike hauler every other weekend.

Well I sold my specialized stumpjumper fsr xc comp. The full suspension got a little bothersome for me so I bought a brand new giant revel, it's a hardtail with front suspension and disk brakes. Basically everything the specialized had except for the rear suspension. 47e85d40-84f2-801f.jpg

Nice! I've become a fan of Giant after owning one now. Before I thought they were just another Chinese/Taiwanese brand that just sold huge volumes of bikes across all ranges.

Giant Anthem X 29 is on the short list for next bike in a year or two. Giant offers a great value. Enjoy it!

Was a little bit wet out there today with all the recent rains, and there was a race here yesterday so lots of tire tracks, but overall it was a great run.

I know nothing about road bikes, but I like how yours looks^^.. Maybe I should pick up a used one so I don't regret the money if I don't like it :nerd (2):

Biking is pretty addicting, and you'll get the upgrade bug just like we do with our FX's :)
Try borrowing or renting a roadbike to see if you like it. If you decide to buy, make sure you get fitted properly, as that really is the key to maximize performance and comfort. Then upgrade at will. If you trick out your bike like you did your FX, i'm sure you will have one sick looking roadbike, and it will go fast too!

Awesome, I love the small ramps along the way. I wouldve been catching air all over the place. :bike:

Is the TREK a comfortable ride? Been searching for LOOK frames to build up. Almost bought one and the colors didn't quite make the cut.

+1 on the bike modding, if you do cars you will do bikes, I spent $1,200.00 on my Fulcrum wheels.

I have a Trek Madone too and I think it's pretty comfortable. Comfortable in a sense like an FX rides comfortably on coils. Smooth, yet still has some harshness at times. Carbon frames do soak up more vibrations though.

For me, Trek had the most comfortable frame (compared to Specialized and Cervelo), but its very close. Geometry and getting fit to your body and riding style is the key obviously, and of course the looks too! From what I hear, people love their LOOK bikes, and I only use LOOK pedals for my roadbike. The nice thing about the Madones is that they come in different frame geometries (H1, H2, H3) as well as different sizes, so you can really get dialed in to finding a frame that fits you best.

Yeah, I spent more on my wheels aero wheels than most people spend on their entire bikes. But once you are on the road, crusing on the flats, and floating up hills, its all kinda worth it I guess.

How is the frame hunting going?

Im looking for a good carbon or aluminum 29er frame to build up.

Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 2

Almost purchased the 585 we discussed but the color wasn't just right.....loving the 2012 586 frame but the price is killing me.....
