Yes I like the Kilt, we should do that then have a keg party at my crib, plenty of parking, big church lot backs up to my place
The only thing is the Mayweather vs Canelo fight is on that night too... Not sure how many boxing fans are coming but that's a fight not to miss...
Boxing fan here too! But should be okay since it's the main event...I usually don't watch the other fights on the ticket.

Maybe we should do the rolling shoot before or part of the meet and greet time? #1 There will be significantly less traffic which is essential and #2 if we have 20 FXs and only 3 or so DSLRs, what are the other FXs going to be doing? #3 Lighting would be better. Doing photo shoot at high noon may be bad if it is a very nice day. I think people will start to get bored very very fast too given # of DSLRs and passengers. Unless....this is really the highway cruise and rolling shots just becomes possibly part of it, but that may not work either because the photographer needs to be as a passenger. So, for example, someone would need to be driving my car while I take pictures of other FXs or I am in another FX taking pictures of my car / group of FXs.
Either way, I think it's very important to be 100% organized before the meet starts especially considering the size of the group.
I'm okay with meeting up early for the rolling shoot especially since not everyone may want to participate and if they do then they have to get up as crack of dawn?
I think we should do a park or find places we can take pictures and do a strategic highway cruise all over 11:30pm - 1:30....and then end at the car show....then people can relax and then leave when they want to from the car show instead of doing the highway cruise at the very end.
I've really been out of sync with the chicago suburbs so I'm not sure where to take pictures or cruise or whatever....if you guys were in michigan I would have suggestions![]()
I agree Jonas. Seems like you have been thinking this through! The rolling shots should be the early crowd for the reasons Jonas mentioned. Crowd is too big for the city for really anything IMO.
As far as cruising goes. It'll unfortunately be the further from the city the better traffic wise. Ideas are welcome. May change original eating spot? I don't know. Seems like rolling shots for those interested should be super early. But aside from that I just don't know. I'm concerned a lot of time will be wasted if stay downtown....driving around looking for parking...trying to coordinate will be hard especially for those from out of town.
We should try and get a legit plan together though. The Phoenix restaurant could work for a good size crowd...pizza could probably work too? Suggestions? Those from out of town yell what you want!

Rolling shots in the city is not a great idea imo. Lake shore drive has a nice view, but it's too far away to depict movement. City streets would have a closer background, but then that gets dangerous and not to mention the potholes, construction etc.
Rolling shots should be in the burbs. There's a section on 290/53 with a retaining wall n the background. Further on 355 presents the same background.
Seems like it would be best to meet up in the burbs, eat and then do the shots. Hang out afterwards with some beer, brats, curds or whatever. I'm sure there's a good breakfast joint by Schaumburg area.

Lets tweak the schedule. Any ideas or suggestions?
There is Hooters in Schaumburg that a lot of car enthusiast go too. Perhaps, we can get rolling shot while in route, plus that will cover the model aspect. LOL
I don't know if lake shore is an ideal rolling shot spot. Background won't really be that blurred because its the lake....and lake shore has a decent amount of turns and stuff? Thought we wanted an easy straight shot for rolling shots?

I'm interested in ATTEMPTING rolling shots. But will need to be taught as I a not as advance as the others! But if I suck I can bring my camera and someone better could use it no problem
