^ If a pavillion is a hassle then no...but if not I would imagine that it would get used in some way. 9 is early! haha I agree. If you need to be there early I'm sure some of us will be there at 9 with you to make it suck a little less!

It seems that everyone gave it a green light on 5/22. So... May 22nd it is.
Here is a quick count of those have responded and stated they will show up.

I think maybe we should not have BBQ. Too much work... someone got to drag a grille in their nice clean ride, someone has to get food and drinks...Maybe on our next meet.
I think Oakbrook would be a bit more central to all of us. If it's at Oakbrook Park District Central Park. We can meet up say around 10am, hang out checking out our rides, some light installs/mods and then convoy over to Fuddrucker/Buona Beef/Portillo in Downers Grove, about 6 miles west of Oakbrook for some food. There are plenty of Parking at those food places.

Well, if you do I'm sure we can have a get together to bs and have some drinks..Either one is the same distance for me from downtown.. Never been to the Oak PD, but I have been to Busse woods and it is huge.. Plenty of space to do whatever you want.. There are 100 choices for food within a 2 mile radius.
We could always do a potluck type thing where some bring chips, soda, beer, popeyes chicken, etc so we can eat something while hanging out and then head off to portillos or some place. I like the idea of just hanging out picnic style bs'ing about cars..

I will fly out there and take delivery of the ride. Plan on also taking it to New York and finally get together with ThurboCad and JC.

Good idea. Give me a little heads-up when you know for sure when you're coming and when you want to do the photos.
I'll hire a professional photographer for us if the timing works for the photographer -- gotta make the most out of the beast being in Chicago with pictures to show for.

If you want shots with the buildings, mag mile, lake shore etc, the best time is Sunday early morning.. That time there's no one on the streets, even cops, and you can jump out and take some shots. The old Meigs field, planetarium, lsd by north ave beach all give great backdrops...
And ed, between all the dslr's that we will all have, I think we got the pics covered.

As for the meet...Oak Brook is probably more of a central location I agree but I also haven't been to the preserves there. It seems like people are speaking very highly of the other spot? Doesn't matter to me just if there are people who would rather do one place over the other speak out and we will just vote on it.
And we could bring some food (snack stuff) if people wanted I don't see any harm in that. Should be fairly easy to get a few things together for it.

Never been to Oakbrook park district. I just did the busse woods thing a couple times and it's really nice there, that's why I suggested it. I'm good with either one, change can be good! I can contrubute some stuff as well, Looking forward to this.

OK so May 22nd can't come soon enough for me. The intake for the 45 is DONE! No pics cause it turned out so well I've been advised to patent the desighn. Maybe it could be the start of something wonderful for me, and that's exactly what I need. It's a super clean install and looks so...... Sexy. I'll give you all a peek at the meet!
