Annual Midwest Spring/Fall Area Meet in Chicago

woo000, way behind in this conversation, was swamped today. Don't matter to me where to meet up, but I'd like to b there. I live only 15 from A-town, Wanted to suggest busse woods, had a meet there with my old club and was a pretty idea set-up. You can get a permit for the day with BYO alcohol allowed for like 20 bucks. Parking lots are large and everywhere. I can look into it more if u guys interested. Sunday the 15th is gonna be a bad hung day for me cause my B-day is the Day before. I might be a little late but never the less I will make, it if that's the set date.

whatever date and wherever is good. Anyone in for meet sooner? maybe little more low key just to get to know guys from around the area? Finally getting warm out so if anyone is interested before mid May i'd be in.
 
Both dates work for me so no big deal... Busse Woods is large and has plenty of space. I like the idea of a legal BYO in a park.. We could bbq there and bring some food. As for installs, I don't see why not.

This sounds good to me too. Will be less of a Hassle for whoever would have hosted it otherwise. And as far as installs, may be more difficult but people can try and talk while we are there and people who are interested in installing could have a separate meet too?

^^^LOL, had that thought because My yard backs up to a church with a giant Parking lot! Nice people running it, so they've never turned me down on parking for parties. However this obviously wouldn't work on a sunday, it's a church. I'm down for busse woods, Do I need to get the permit? I will but if someone has gone through the process, some guidance would be appreciated. Let's comence the head count and vote on a day that the majority can attend.
 
5/22/11 works better for me too.

I agree, let's keep this low key, low stress, low planning.

I'd be happy just meeting up with everyone and just check out people's cars.

I can bring my jacks, stands, tools to tighten people's steering bolt no problem.

Cool, I think curb rash on two as heads-up. $75-$100 was the quote to fix it per wheel, so would be discounted by that much if you were interested.
 
i have confirmed 5/22 I will be in Chicago!!

I will be in town Friday May 20 (with both my english bulldogs -> go to pets thread if you want to see pictures) and leaving Sunday May 22.

Sunday I would probably need to leave the get together by 1pm....I don't want to be driving at night and then get home late to go to work the next morning. I would be up for meeting Friday night and/or Saturday at anytime also if you guys are interested in addition to Sunday (but this day can only do early/afternoon) :(.

ALSO,

I will be in town the weekend AFTER easter: Yes, and this time without the dogs.
I would also like to meet up if you guys are interested:
Friday night April 29 and/or
Saturday night April 30 and/or
early Sunday May 1

Can we get a poll or count on who wants to meet up what days and/or multiple days? Once last weekend of April and once in May? :tup::tup::tup::tup::tup::tup:
 
Yes need date varifications, was looking at busse woods online, major rule No glass bottles, If I reserve us a permited area do we want a pavillion or no need? Also the permit holder has to be there at 9am, so kind of an earily start.
