Alternate Wheel Options to Forgestar F14? Need some help picking and sizing

looks like my wheels are done and on there way to me should be on in 5-7 days
Just need to pick a set of tires. I have it down to 2 tires 285/40R22 either the Falken Ziex S-TZ05 or Nitto NT420S
My local Discount tire will do either of them about $800 a set so price is not a factor.

Falken Ziex S-TZ05
50,000 Miles 460AA Speed rating H

Nitto NT420S
No mileage warranty 420AA Speed rating V

What do you guys think ? The Falkens have better warranty and longevity. The Nittos look better and would handle a bit better?
I am leaning toward the Nittos for the review they get over the Falkens but not sure about road noise. The guy at discount tire thinks they won't be to bad.
I have my wheels coming in next week need to make a choice pretty quick. Any help is appreciated !!!

Heard some bad things about the Nittos. I don't know about the Falkens though. What finish did you go with for the forgestars?

I have heard nothing but bad things about the nitto 420s as well.

Really ? I started reading review after review online 99% of the people happy with the tires. I read from a couple people here that did not like them and complaint of noise.
So I started reading reviews for the Falken and even more people complained of noise with that tire than with the Nitto. which was surprising to me like this post

Everyone recommends the Yokohamas but I've had 2 sets of them, one in 20's and 22's just don't like them and wasn't to try something different.
I did end up going with the 285/40R22 size rather than 35's. With only 4 tires to choose from at Discount Tire I am trying the Nitto. Discount has a 30 day return policy if I hate them I can return them and pay the difference(If there is one) for the Falkens which is the same price.

I went with the F14's in Glossy Black Graphite

So got my wheels and tires put on yesterday. Thanks to Jason Tung <jason@getyourwheels.com> for helping me with the setup and excellent pricing!
So far loving the wheels they felt much lighter than the 20's when I moved the boxes. The Nitto 420s are a little noisy than I expected. Wondering if that will go away or if the pressure is off. My TPMS info shows tire pressure at 38 PSI how accurate is the TPMS? I was thinking it needed to be closer to 32 PSI. Debating on calling Discount Tire to see if I can switch to the Falkens but worried they may also be noisy. One plus with the Nitto is that don't pull at every line, bump or angle in the road like the Yoko Parada's. Guess you can't win! Each tire seems to have some issue. :bulgy-eyes:
Here is a picture that I took yesterday car needs to be washed but gives you rough idea of appearance. Really hard to appreciate the Graphite Black color through pictures.

Very nice FX. The Nitto 420S is a great tire. Unfortunately it is also very loud, If you want a quite tire that will last take a look into their NT555's. I know it says summer tire but I have had them on my wife's FX for almost 25,000 miles (I use nitrogen which may help a little) and they're about half worn. I also live in Georgia where the weather isn't that crazy as it would be a little further north.

the nt555's are crap. i had one separated on me while driving and it screwed up a wheel. it was a weird feeling seeing a tire's side wall rolled past your vehicle...

I ended up calling Discount Tire and told them I wanted to return the Nitto 520's. They ordered me a set of Toyo Proxies ST II. I am hoping these are much quieter than the Nittos
In Nitto's defense the tires do grip very well dry and wet. They also have very aggressive and bold tread pattern. If it wasn't for the noise at 40-60 mph they'd be a keeper for sure.
Will update the post once I get my Toyo's on.

The ST2's are much quieter than ST1's. Should work out great

Good to know I got a awesome deal on the Nitto 420's around $600 for set so it will cost me more for the Toyo's but if they are quieter and handle as well I will be happy.

Where did you find the Nitto 420s for $600? I'm looking to get them

Discount tire via ebay
Was $400 for 2 and they had a $100 coupon. So u buy 2 sets use the coupon twice. My local store matched the price but this was a promotion they ran a whole back not sure if it is on going

So, I have the Falken ZIEX S/TZ05 TIRE 285/40R22 on for few weeks and driven them in dry and wet. Can overall say its a very good tire. Much quieter than both Nitto 420s and Toyo STII, no steering wheel shakes no weird pulling like the Yoko Parada. So far happy with them and a bonus has 50K mileage warranty. Will report back in few more weeks for those following. Feel free to post any questions.

dont worry about fenderwork at stock height. i run the f14 22x10.5 with a 32 offset and they are very flush at stock height. after i lower i might need spacers. i also have 285/35/22 nexens. and you could run 285/40s as well. 21b80e154b6b1c7012dfe48708940374.jpg

Two questions... 1) are their no holes under the rear Infiniti logo (center)? 2) what method did you decide to use to blackout the chrome trim above and below the plate? Slick look! Bully to you!

i believe the logo on the back is simply attached with adhesive... no holes.

Haha. The Infiniti logo has no holes just adhesive. I took it off to paint it black and put it back on. The chrome trim I used plastidip but I plan on painting that as well very soon. Thats the only bit of plastidip left on my car.
