Looking to replace my stock OEM Enkei's with 22's So I found that I really like the Forgestar F14 they are just very expensive. I had the Falken RT-7M on my gen1 and price was excellent for build quality.
I wanted to know what other alternatives you guys have found to these wheels. It seems like a very common style wheel. Here are some I've been considering below.

What offset do I need and what width should I shoot for ? I am not planning on lowering my car.
Anyone know the weight of the stock Enkei 20 inch wheels?

Out of all those I would go with the forgestars.

What color do you think would look the best on Platinum graphite Metallic (Grey)? I was originally thinking gunmetal. Then I thought the color might blend to much
I was considering black also but love that shiny black look.

I actually like gunmetal grey. Im not a fan of black wheels because from a far you can't see the details of the wheel.

yea gunmetal would look good with that color. i personally love all black on my cars. but forgestar screws up well with colors that arent black.

If you like Forgestars, there are several other similar wheels. Avante Garde makes some, VMR makes some and i believe both offer rotary forged models which is the same method Forgestar uses. Just look up 7 spoke mesh wheels. The Zenettis you posted aren't bad and they're rotary forged as well. I would be hesitant to get gunmetal wheels from Forgestar, their powdercoater isn't great and there will likely be color variations or surface imperfections. Then if you ever damage a wheel, the replacement you get may not even match. It's sort of silly since it's not a custom color.

Forgestar wheels are made in China and then drilled/finished in the US. So there are plenty of other options that look the same and may be cheaper.

Yep thanks for that I looked at the 22x9 Avant Garde M310 in Dolphin Grey comes out about same price as Forgestars F14.
I looked at VMR which appears to be made prominently for BMW and don't have our bolt pattern for 22's
I looked at ACE Mesh 7 wheels also come out to around same price as Forgestars.
So looks like as far as lower prices it may not exist ?? Unless you guys are looking somewhere I am not?
Starting to go crazy here looking for wheels :eek.:

Can you guys recommend weather I go 22x9 or 22x10 ? and the best offset so the F14 are flush ?
I 've contacted several retailers the offset numbers are all over the place

Personally if I got the Forgestars, I'd go up to the 10.5" width which allows you to run their deep concave profile. 10" is still semi concave which is basically flat.

I am not sure I want it to be to concave. Will we have rubbing issues as we get wider ? How wide can we go on 22's

I likeed these I believe these are on Meduza's FX50 but assume i'd get same results on FX35? Forgestar F14 22x9 +30

All of the pics you show for the Forgestar are deep concave I believe. Meduza's look to be the semi concave though. So if you like the way those fit, get the 22x9 and +30, they'll fit the exact same on your 35. The difference is brake clearance, you'll have much more of it since you don't have Akebono's.

You can go 10.5" front and back if you'd like without rubbing and with correct offsets. You could probably go wider in rear than that, but not so much in front.

Thanks for the info Shadow
This is what Forgestar has posted on their website

22" SEMI CONCAVE
22x8.5 offsets from +12 to +51
22x9.0 offsets from +18 to +57
22x10 offsets from +31 to 70

22" DEEP CONCAVE
22x10.5 offsets from +10 to +49
22x12 offsets from +29 to +68

Maybe I will ask about the 22x10.5 what offset should I be looking at for stock height and resale in future? That's the one number I am clueless about lol!

Curse you shadow! You are correct the S2000 I posted pictures of above in white has deep concave which is available on the 22 x 10.5
The cost more but does look a bit better. Wonder if the width at 10.5 slows the car down any ? I am guessing the tire weight will be close to stock OEM Enkei 20's ?
What tire size would we run on 10 or 10.5 ?

I don't know weights, but I doubt the 10.5" would be noticeably heavier than the 10". On a 10 or 10.5", 285 tires work.

So here are my options. Will I have to worry about rubbing or modifying fender on 10.5 if I don't lower ?
If I decided to go Semi concave should I do the 9 or 10's ? The retailer was recommending 9's and running 275 or 285 tires. The stock/inventory on 10's is low

22" SEMI CONCAVE
22x9.0 offsets from +18 to +57
22x10 offsets from +31 to 70 (Low stock may be a 2-3 month wait)

22" DEEP CONCAVE
22x10.5 offsets from +10 to +49

Which tires have the most options? I am noticing as you change size and profile some sizes have 4 tire brands to choose others les
For example tire rack has the following tire options/brands for each size
We found (6) tires for: 305/40-22
We found (4) tires for: 285/40-22
We found (6) tires for: 275/40-22
We found (1) tire for: 275/35-22
We found (2) tires for: 295/40-22

dont worry about fenderwork at stock height. i run the f14 22x10.5 with a 32 offset and they are very flush at stock height. after i lower i might need spacers. i also have 285/35/22 nexens. and you could run 285/40s as well. 21b80e154b6b1c7012dfe48708940374.jpg

So do I need the 10.5 because the 285 tires fit the 9 and 10 width I believe. The 10.5 cost $200 more also, what do u think ?
