Alignment Help, how much lower can I go?

I'm working on getting coilovers but don't want to deal with uneven tire wear and bad alignment. My current setup produces no uneven wear even if it's a little out of spec in some readings with H&R Lowering Springs.

I need a best guess on how low I can go, if any, in comparison to my H&R setup. I read that Turbo said the fronts can go very low and with the camber plate anyway, that's not an issue.

So what I'm most concerned about are the rears. Is there anyway someone can guestimate how much lower I can go with coilovers vs my H&R's? 1 inch? .5 inch? Not any farther?

Trying to eliminating having to adjust the height setting too much and pay a lot of money on getting alignments done. If no one has any suggestions, I might just have to leave the rears the same height as the H&R's.

Also, if I'm going around 60 mph or higher, my car is slightly pulling to the right. Is that the "Front Total Steer Ahead" I need to ask them to play with?

Sorry, I won't be able to comment on how low can you go with coilovers that will result in a bad alignment, but I can comment on the cost saving with the alignment. Do you know Firestones/ Sears offer Lifetime Alignment? I paid $149 for Firestones Lifetime Alignment. I went back to get it re-check three times already. Got my money back and then some within 2 two years, lol. No problem with new suspension parts each time. I also have the same Lifetime Alignment on the Family-mobile. This past winter, my wife slid on snow & ice. I replace a bunch of suspension and steering parts, took the mini van in three times within two weeks. No questions asked.

Oh sweet.

I wonder if the other Andrew got an alignment done.

Aahaha, it's a long story on his coilovers/alignment. I let him tell ya. He had a slight mishaps over the winter and took my advice also gotten the Lifetime Alignment from Firestones too.

Wow, that wall of text with numbers made my vision blurry, lol. :.smile:

I haven't gotten an alignment yet since having the coilovers. Not until I get my 22s on. I paid for the lifetime alignment at Firestone too and pretty much going to recoup the cost this summer, lol. This past winter, during the night of the famous Chicago blizzard, my girlfriend and I had a taste for Taco Tuesdays, so we drove out to El Famous Burrito. On the way there, I drove over a snowed covered concrete median and screwed up my alignment really bad. Then don't forget that accident two weeks during the last snow/ice fall of the season. So I'm having pretty bad luck with my car lately. Anyways, once I get my 22s on, I plan on going slightly lower, then will go back for an alignment. Remember, out of the box, the coilovers are much lower than H&Rs, at least for me. The alignment should be the last of your worries, since the lifetime purchase is a great investment. You will pretty much get an idea of what to expect once you see my car's setup. I'm pretty sure we are looking for the same look.
