Aftermarket Replacement and Performance Parts for Infiniti and other Makes

:smile (2): I got you thinking about the spare? It has been on my mind since the day I got BBK on!

Remember to get spacer to convert 5x114.3 to 5x120 bolt pattern if you going with RR spare.

 Damn, I need to be more careful of what I say on here.

Anyhow, it would be a proven fact if you would try a standard spare over the Akebono BBK for a test fit. Be careful not to scratch up your BBK when trying! I would tape a piece of rag over the BBK for the test fit. I'm sure there is a good reason for Inifiniti to put such a deep convex center face on the FX50S spare.

Has anyone tried this on 1st gen? Never thought about it until now

Exactly. That's what I thought you said, that it needs to be tested. But we know for certain that the fx50 spare is different from the fx35 spare? Is the fx50s spare different from the standard fx50 spare? Andy, you should know that many people here take your word as LAW lol

I have tried the FX50 spare on my BBK (6-pot w/15" rotor) and it would not clear. No one has try the FX50 Spare nor the standard spare over the Akebono BBK.

Does all FX50 as the BBK from the factory? If so, then it should have a different spare then the FX35. The FX35 has the standard steel spare.

Have to try that then.
We are sure that the FX50 spare will fit though, right?
I would think that it would fit in the same spot OK . . in case one wanted to get ones as a relacement

This is a FX50S spare wheel

This wheel would need the 2nd gen collar type nuts on a first gen
