I love the 2014s but there are some really nice changes in the 2015. I'd wait till those come out the 14s will drop. Also, if you buy ford, make sure you get an X-plan code.

Looks great. I hear ya about the rear end. My buddy has a Rousch BlackJack. It can be a handful in the turns & the back is pretty light. The supercharger & the sound it makes is really cool.

At 7 minutes I give him room to go by, but he goes in to hot at Willow. I'm sure it woke him up

Thanks for posting those videos. I love that SC whine. Sounds so bad ass.

I was never a fan of mustangs but i have to say that this sir is looking hot. Ever think about lowering it a little bit?

I am thinking about it. I want to give it a little time. A short shifter and a tune are probably first. Then maybe suspension mods.

These cars are very tempting. Fast, sound awesome, pretty cheap even with options added, and can be made to look awesome.

I priced one out as well similar to you, although I left off the track package as it sounded like a legitimate track package for the track. Do you feel it's worth getting?

I went back and forth. It's alot of equipment for $2500. I knew I was dumping the wheels, so that didn't matter to me. The brembos are awesome, but parts are expensive. But in the end I couldn't pass up the BOSS 302 oil cooler and radiator along with the TORSEN rear with the 3.73 gears. It also has a different program for the traction control that allows more wheelspin before it kicks in. Necessary? No, definitely not. But I wanted it and I think it will help the resale down the road.

The Recaros were necessary. The base cloth seats weren't supportive at all. Best $1600 upgrade ever!

By skipping the track package, I could have gotten the car for $26,250, which is insane. But I'm glad I spent the extra $2500.

I somewhat agree. The 2015 interor looks awesome and the independent rear suspension will be a big improvement. But, the 420hp motor and trans will carry over, at least until 2016. And I would NEVER buy a first model year Ford. The 2014 models have $3000 rebate plus $750 private cash right now AND you can still order exactly what you want, so I think I timed it right for me.

Tint and clear bra today. 20% Wincos IR all around. Clay and paint sealer applied. Looks killer in daylight!

Few updates:

The hood vents came out great. They match the wheels and fender badges perfectly. I was briefly considering rally stripes but I think this gives just enough contrast without trying to look like a Shelby GT500.

I decided to do a rear seat delete with X-brace. It's the same one that is included in the 12-13 BOSS 302 Laguna Seca model.

Lastly, I installed the Ford Racing ProCal tune as it does not alter the powertrain warranty. With the tune and GT500 mufflers, I should be right around 440hp on 93 octane. :)

Wow, that's really cool how you can add that and stay under warranty. How much was the tune and mufflers, and any other performance mods for the 440hp?

I wonder if the prices will drop on these once the '15s come out, and would make for a cheap, fast car?

420 out of the box. The tuner is shown to produce 16hp and 45 pound-feet of torque increases. I figure the free flowing mufflers (they are much lighter; no baffling) give me the last 4hp. :)

The mufflers were $329 and cost me $100 to install. The tuner was $359 and comes with a K&N filter which I sold off for $40. I use an AEM DryFlow instead. So, for $700, I'm at the same horsepower as a BOSS 302. Not too shabby!

The prices are already insanely low. $36,000 sticker and I paid $29,250 after incentives, rebates, and negotiation. And I ordered it. I'm sure you could do a little better if you took something off the lot. But I don't see anything on the lot with Recaros, and that was a must have for me.

Supposedly they are taking orders for the 2015 models starting next week. So maybe the incentives will go up a bit more.

Sounds like a great deal for all that. I looked at a couple dealers near here and they seemed to be around $30k but none of them were really what I wanted aside from at least being the GT. There is a GT500 and a super snake that I see at work, so I'd always be reminded how inferior I am haha.

If you are willing to travel, check out Koons Ford and Apple Ford. They seem to have a good selection and great prices.

Great looking Mustang! I too was looking at the 2014s, but I'm holding out for the suspension upgrades in next update. Any chance you can post up some video clips with the sounds of that exhaust

Thank you! I don't have any, but YouTube is riddled with them. They are the GT500 axle backs.
