I hated the front end and grill on the last gens. I think the new grill makes it look much more proportionate to the body and love the little tweaks. Since the limited has all dark metal where chrome would be, I think the side vents and front fog accents will look great.

I don't have much say in cars or designs..... but as an all time fx lover i still
love the 1st gen over the 2nd or the 3rd... is that just me?

Im with you in many aspects, however i do think that the 2nd/3rd generations have a more aggressive feel to it.
 
I always liked the 1st gen, but I like my 2nd gen's style more. IMO, the 2nd gen has a lil more flavor. I'm not feelin the 12 tho. The new grill makes the FX look puggie.
 
Got a call a few days ago from the salesman I bought my fx from @ Herb Chambers Infiniti of Westborough. Told me they just got delivery on a 2012 FX35 Limited Edition. I was thinking of going there anyway to pick up some oil filters and get my tpms re-programmed on my 18's for the winter. I went today and obviously had to check out the LE and see what the differences were. Few things I noticed is that it didn't have the cooling seats anymore and the leather on the front seats is different than the 09-11 models. Also the steering wheel didn't looked wrapped up nice like mine either. The wheels are nice but still gonna take some time to grow on me. I do like the look of the painted rails which match the color of the wheels. Nothing else really looked different besides the front end change and the blue color that comes standard on the LE model. Anyway here are some pictures I took : enjoy. (I'll re-upload them using photobucket sometime tomorrow, these are just straight from my phone through )

Thanks for posting the pics Jesse. It looks okay, I'm not liking the re-styled front end or the wheels though.
 
Looks ok, but I agree about the wheels and front end. The former looks like hub caps from Walmart and the latter looks like a chubby kids cheeks getting pinched.

oh my gosh...I was just going to say the same thing....the wheels look like hubcaps that you would buy from pep boys.

And man I hope Infiniti doesn't start cheaping out! I absolutely love my cooling seats....now I hear poorer steering wheel...I also hear removing of accents on pedals and removing of paddle shifters, etc....what the heck is going on with these new ones? Are they trying to start to cut corners!???? :((((((((

only thing that i can't wait for is the clear tail lights. rest sucks. chubby kid front, cheep looking rims and chrome fogs rings. if this is preview for what's coming in 2014, my next ride is going to be X6M
 
oh yeah the chrome fog rims...forgot about that...yeah making it more american with all that chrome.
 
If all 3 gens were to line up and have someone who has no knowledge about infinitis pick out the latest one he'd have a hard time. But the only one I wish I had was the power of the fx50.
 
Agree with everyone above. I'm not a fan of the changes at all. Plus the sticker price on the window was $53k which is crazy !! :eek.: with that you could probably get a barely used fx50 for that which is wayy better imo.
 
53k is ok I guess comparing that a dealer round here is selling a 2011 FX50 for 50k. I personally don't like the front and the wheels look like a fan.
 
huge disapointment if i was a rich man I would buy fx50 and replace the front part with the first gen... ^^

chubby grill like it's a little kid smirking... fan blade rims... omg
 
2012 fx35

Pix of the 2012 are out and I notice the big change is the grill is now more conventional. When folks see my 2011, they call it "The Beast".
The new models are losing the teeth and the edginess....amirite?
