2007 FX45 Cluster Work in an 04 FX35?

I'm sure they can, but not sure if they willing to do it though. There are places that you can send it in for service.

My guess is if the dealer willing to work with you on this. They will probably need you to proof your current mileage. I would suggest to talk with them first to see what's entail and cost of the service.

I just plugged the new cluster in,did the 12V Acc wire, and ran in to some problems:
-The gauges will not work(tachometer, speed, fuel, temp), lights up
-shows 999999 miles on the odometer
-couldn't adjust brightness via buttons on the left
-FUEL Icon is on for some reason

Here is a picture:

I don't have active cruise and the new cluster should fit I think(PART NUMBER: 24820-8Y70C)

Please help!

I've never seen an issue like this, it should just work, only needed aditional wire is for the backlight only... have you tried your old one again? if you swap to the old one and it works fine then the only thing it can be is the new cluster is bad

what many don't realize is that the majority of the parts like this that make it to ebay are really from waranty replacements... I've bought several of these already and each one has had some issue, mostly the issue is with the fuel gauge, one didn't work at all and the other was spotty at best, I did get one that the gauge was at least decent and usable too but buying something like this is a gamble as to what will be wrong and how bad it will be...

^ I'll try to put everything back and let you know. Thanks for the quick reply

UPDATE!!!
Plugged the old back, works perfect. The new one definitely defective.

Wow, sorry to hear that you got a defective one. I must got lucky with mine. I have been running it over a year now. Andrew's cluster on his FX35 was running good too. Ed's had some speedometer issue with his.

Wow, 999999 miles, lol sorry. You will not be able to dim the dials when the lights are off. They will stay on full brightness. You can only dim them when the headlights are on. It's the same on my '07, during the day with headlights off, the dials are full brightness. Andrew and I have been lucky. My cluster worked perfectly too. It's a shame I didn't swap it when I sold my car....hope you get the right one soon Zebra. The cluster is a great upgrade and looks fantastic!

^yeah I like how it looks. Really hard to find it though(for a good price)...

I have a cluster for you but it has a small chrome peel on one of the rings. You can probably touch it up $40 after you confirm it works etc.

Chris, is there some black translucent overlay that's removable on the cluster? I'm thinking of blacking out the tire pressure warning light on my cluster. Since you have one open can you check and see what's a good what to do it?

Hi All, I realize this is 5 years back, but perhaps someone is able to help me with an affordable 24820-CL70D instrument cluster for my 2006 FX (with tech package and ICC - Adaptive Cruise).
I have more or less sold the car to another enthousiast but 1-2 days before selling the speedometer and tacho-meter stays at 0 no matter what. Everything else in the cluster is fully working. I've run the diagnostic test ( hold trip reset and trip A/B for a couple of seconds while turning ignition to ON, then release. Then press the Trip Reset to test the gauges and all display elements. In my case, everything works except the Speedometer and Tachometer, these do not move during the Self-diagnosis test of the cluster.

@FXChicago: Would you happen to still have that instrument cluster ? Is it the same or different than mine ? (Checked using the VIN, and it should be 24820-CL70D)

Best regards / thanks

Maarten

eBay is where you can find an affordable cluster. Keep in mind that your FX will inherit the mileage on the replacement cluster. The mileage is stored on the cluster, not on the car ECU.

From my experience on these cluster, FX35 and FX45 are interchangeable as long as it you get one that with ICC and Technologies package.

Hello guys, I want to swap my cluster and I was wondering if AWD or RWD are compatible.

My 2003 fx35 is RWD non-tech package, orange screen and without intelligent cruise control or lane departure warning system.

I found a cluster from a 06 fx35 without technology package but it is AWD. Would I have problems with the AWD Light staying on all the time?
