2006 Infiniti FX35 airbag light blinking

Did you do anything or work on the FX prior to this happening? The reason I asked was because there are times that you disconnect an airbag connector and turn key to accessories for whatever reason, that will trigger the airbag light to lit.

Did you do any modding/fixing/electrical work? Changed incabin filter, removed the seats, etc...anything that might have been in proximity to one of the yellow plugs for an airbag?

The dealer changed the seat cover year and half ago, my light blinked
aybe 6 months later.
Yes i perform the ign on/off method.. But i never have touched any elec(only when i installed my led strips through the dtrl wire but i properly sealed that wire..

When the dealer changed the seat cover maybe they touched this. Even though that's connected to the seat belts and not the seat, but check it anyways. Maybe next time your airbag light is on again, try to unplug and replug the connector, then reset it. Maybe that will fix it permanently.

There is a rectangular cut-out in front bottom of the seat, pry it open using a flat head screw driver. Look into the hole, you will see two connector (one white and one yellow). Making sure the yellow connector is plug in nicely. Then perform the ignition on/off again. Once the airbag light is lit, it will stay lit until it reset. unplug and plug it back in will not turn off the airbag light.

thanks guys and they did change my front seatbelts too, and la fx35 the last part i didnt get it, when the light is lit i have to unpug ad replug?

I also meant to say there are connectors for airbags under the seat too. He was trying to say just by un and re-plugging them will not fix the light issue. So double check by just un and re-plugging the seat belt and seat connectors and do the reset method. Hopefully this will be a permanent fix.

Yep as AeroBFA, is right on. Just need check the connection. Once the airbag light is lit it will not turn off simply by disconnect and reconnect the connector. It needs to be reset to turn off the light.

i was looking at this today and wanted to know how to take off the interior trim to get to this?

Just wanted to say thank you regarding the off-and-on trick to reset the airbag module. What a great trick unbelievable thank you so much WoW!

I had an intermittent short in the driver seat adjustment for years, occasionally the airbag light would come on, but I didn’t connect the dots. You can reset it a few times yourself.

Changed the switch, $250, with the complete plastic contraption, “voila “ cured.

Short version...look for any flickering short.
