Wow these coilovers you guys have look really nice. I wish this deal was happening last spring when i was doing my suspension lol. I hope someone in the NYC area get these or any coilovers for their FX so they can take me for a ride. ;-). Very curious how coils feel in the fx.

Finally started to dial the Kidos in a bit today after work, absolutely night and day difference over stockers. Really sits in the turns well and doesn't feel overly stiff whatsoever. Lola is down and dirty now. Gonna let the spings break in a bit then re-adjust if necessary. Rears all the way soft, two full turns + in the fronts. Camber Is still cranked inward fully in the front, might bring it closer to -0- a touch but it corners incredibly!

I noticed on turns she doesn't have body roll, its just so much fun to take a quick corner. My rears are all the way soft as well but my fronts are at 7 clicks from soft, and its just (as you said) night and day difference!

Imagine when your FX is all braced out, sitting really low and running on low profile tires. The stuff I do in my FX sometimes....really amazing handling and absolutely a blast to drive. :top:
 
Be nice to see/hear a full 360 degree report from all KIDO CO buyers once they are all installed. Initial/final settings, tire pressure, read on ride quality over what you had previously (not sure if others are like me but time seems to dim the first critical impressions) I really liked my BC's and I am curious to see what the difference my new front spring rates will make.
 
Hi Ed, Whats's the deal on the Rear adjusters extenders, I feel they should of been part of the deal as its very hard to adjust the rears once wheels are on, As you must be aware when installing coilovers it takes weeks to dial in, and I didn't intend or want to remove my rears every time to do this. Are you planning to get the extenders for everyone who was in the Group buy . The BC's are easy to adjust the rears compared to these Kido's.

I Bought these Kido's expecting them to be better than the BC's, Time will tell But I wouldn't be happy at all if I have to pay extra for the Extenders for the rears.

Please update me on this

Unfortunately, rear extenders cost extra, but there is a special price for those that bought coilovers.

I will pm you the price.

I'm sorry as you said you won't be happy if you have to pay for these extenders, but I honestly tried my best to bring a great price and product to the forum, and took no profit.

Anyone else that wants extenders can PM me as well (in case you didn't see my other post). Two others have just ordered them this week.

All PM's replied. These are still available in black and blue only.

Please clarify spring rate desired. 8kg front is standard for fx35. For fx45 10kg front.

Rear is set at 12kg.

I ran 12kg/12kg as I'd sacrifice amazing handling for a little bit of comfort. But Andy can confirm even with 12kg and 24's, rise quality is still outstanding.

I suggest 8 kg or 10 kg front for most though to be safe.
 
No sacrifice in ride quality at all with 12 kg spring rate in front with 24" wheels and 30 series tires on FX45.

Also no sacrifice on ride quality at all with 10 kg spring rate in the front with 22" wheels and 40 series tires on my FX35. I had 8 kg in the front first and switch to 10 kg. I do notice a bit of handling improvement with the 10 kg front on the FX35.
 
Has anyone ever run 12 kg on the front of a 35 (the VQ is about 200 lbs lighter than VK)? I have BC's, but they run the same spring rates as Kido's pretty much. I've been wanting to swap the front springs since I feel it wallows too much. But I'm debating between 10 and 12kg. I'm pretty low (rub everywhere), but would ideally like to go a little lower. A higher spring rate would help with the rubbing. I'm ok with giving up some ride comfort since it's not great as it is with the too soft springs. I just don't want to go through the issue of swapping out the front to a 10kg and wish I had gone 12.

I had the BC's before Kido's came out, so I don't want to go through the hassle of swapping everything. Otherwise i would have just gone with Kido's and gotten the spring rates I wanted.
 
If you're going that low, just ask BC for 12kg front, I'm pretty sure they can do that.

No spring compressor is needed, so it's an easy swap.

12kg to me was the same as riding a corvette - you feel every bump, but on smooth road, it's butter. taking on/off ramp curves with 12kg put a smile on my face...
