i say the front end of the 09 looks like the front end of a nurse shark

I know this is an old thread and the owner of the thread probably already decided on an FX...but it's a compelling argument I would still like to partake in b/c I was in the same situation :wub:
Anyhow, I prefer the 45 because the exterior IMO is timeless. The fact that it's been unchanged since 2003 (is that correct?
) till 2008 and STILL looks gorgeous just goes to show how solid of a design it is.
Meanwhile, while the biggest thing the 09+s got going is the interior (JMHO), interiors can be out-dated sooner. Kinda like when you buy a computer and in a matter of months, the specs are not as cutting-edge. Not to say that the 09s interiors can get outdated in a matter of months, but you get the point.
And the interior of the older 45s are still great! Just not as awesome as the 09s (which btw, are drop-dead SWEET). But I'm sure when the 45 first came out, it was considered top-notch at the time too...but, the exterior REMAINS absolutely stunning.
But obviously, there are other factors involved!
Anyways, hope that makes sense...I'm sure many may disagree, just my 2 humble cents!

what flash is this? where can i get one? the only thing i dont like about my 09 is the sloppy gear change!

There is a sticky about it on here. The flash came out June of 09 production month.
Interesting thread since I'm going from an '06 45 to a '10 35. Didn't really have a choice in the matter since we lease and are not interested in owning.
Test drove an '09 35 and didn't find the tranny issues that are mentioned. Guess it was already re-flashed. I'll mist the tq, but since it's our "family car" the interior will get more "use". Sort of enjoy the extra refinement, but I'll be able to comment once the '10 arrives.

my 2 cents is get a 50s or a 2006-2008 FX45. Gotta love the torque, and you can get exhaust which makes the 45 sound never get old, and springs or coilovers willl make you handle better. You can make the 45 faster than the 09 35. Not many parts for the new HR for the fx

I'm still not a big fan of the 2nd gen's grill/front end. Like mentioned above, the 1st gen is truly a timeless design IMO
